So I am at Quaker Steak (with my Browns crew) and one of the guys brings his dumb ass cunt wife.  She is a cunt based upon what she said.  During halftime this dumb bitch didn't have the decency to keep quiet.  She starts babbling on about how vaccines are unsafe and other made stats that don't exist but some Hollywood bimbo pulled out of her dirty ass.

Needless to say me being a patient guy but a guy who believes in science I tried to hold my tongue for so long.  But alas, I could not take it and just politely but firmly had to lay into this bitch.  There is no fucking proof that vaccines cause any kind of mental illness.  This is the perfect example of the dumbing down of American society.

In particular women.  These women sit around watching the View and pick up 25% of the truth and then mix it with dumbshit lies and try to pass it off as science.

I am so outraged that I think I may start asking Providers if they believe this shit.

I never - ever - called that person a cunt, but I did confront the person. It was a tough person too, and I think he hates me now lol. But - again - it doesn't make them a 'cunt'. It simply is someone trying to sound smart and important. Perhaps she doesn't feel smart, so she feels the need to sound smart. And you embarrassed her. HOwever, maybe she'll learn to study further before speaking up on people's medical decisions.

I'd hate to see you deal with a real issue.

Vaccines are not foolproof, and very recently they were still giving live polio virus vaccines to kids, who then got polio or passed it on to other immunocompromised friends/relatives (they became contagious while not having the disease themselves)...and I wouldn't take the 1/50,000 chance of giving my kids polio so I opted for the inactive injection. The nurses and doctors told me I was wrong to do so but went with the injections...and now that's the standard.

I've done LOTS of research on vaccines, and the main preservative in the multi-use vaccines (most common type) is aluminum, which does cross the blood/brain barrier and is in levels above what the EPA suggests. We are giving our children 2-3, sometimes 4 injections of this stuff at one sitting.

When we were growing up, we were given maybe a dozen injections in our childhood. Now the kids are getting 3 times that. Incidence of allergies and autism are on the rise, and while no direct correlation has been discovered, it's hard not to wonder if there is some risk associated with it.

I would venture a guess that a significant percentage of the moms who choose not to vaccinate their children, or who do so on a differnet schedule, or opt out of the less severe injections, do so with full consideration of the risk/benefits of doing so. I don't know a mom who won't walk through fire for their children, so I fully believe they are making decisions the best they can.

Education is an issue, as some moms read a news story or hear a snippet or are "educated" by their friends and then jump on the bandwagon (GMO use is another "hot topic" that many haven't a clue what they are talking about yet feel strongly and jump on bandwagons without really understanding the reasons, but I digress).  

I chose to go with a modified vaccination routine for my youngest. She only had vaccinations for the most essential infections (those that cause brain swelling and permanent disability) as a young infant. Never had a flu vaccine, got chicken pox naturally, and we're now getting her caught up on MMR and DTaP. We did this fully educated and with intention and her pediatrician was fully on board with our decision. She has not had HepB nor Polio vaccines and likely never will, at least not until she's much older.  

Sometimes people have a genetic disposition for autism or allergies or other things that make them fear causing more issues with unnecessary immunizations. With the high levels of aluminum in the immunizations, I think it's important to really weigh the risk/benefits for your children in your situation and make the best choice you can based on what you learn.

So before you blanket statement on how anyone who doesn't follow your thoughts on medicine (which, btw, is way more art than science), please read up on vaccine controversy and see for yourself how the FDA passes vaccines before they're fully tested, pulling them off the market later after children are hurt, how some vaccines are only on the market because of politics (I can't remember which one, but the disease was fully controlled before the vaccine was ready, but so much money went into the vaccine development, they had the FDA push its use anyhow so they can recoup the cost of the development) ... there is a lot of beaurocracy in the FDA (it's easy information to find) and there are much lower vaccine recommendations in other western cultures without detriment to the children.  

I'll agree that some people do stupid things on very little information, but I don't think most parents in this group fall into that category

Very thoughtful and well articulated post AbbyRose.    Anybody interested in this issue should also Google William Thompson CDC whistleblower.   Not everything in this world is a conspiracy, but there are more gray areas we would like to think.  

BTW, I will not see providers who do not agree with me on every topic.    That is why I send them a comprehensive 300 question questionnaire.   Sorry, I need to run, I am late for my Flat Earth Society meeting.

...there is a sliver of something to your OP. Having nothing to do with vaccines per se, but when you meet someone who has some outlandish perspective on the world that is tortuous to agree with or even to refrain from arguing or laughing, a natural dislike of the poor fool seems to arise.
