If she has not bothered to call you back or offer the minimum of an excuse and apology, out her to your regional board. Explain the circumstances so that you might save someone else the time and expense of seeing her.  Be matter of fact, don't embellish. The local guys with good common sense will avoid her.

That kinda goes for everything in life, I think, especially anything involving women.

e-mail asking what happened?  If you don't get a good answer within 48 hours, you should post on your regional board about the situation.

A newbie should just move on.  Unfortunately, the odds of a newbie getting a response to a "where were you e-mail is slim and none.  Don't waste your time.

All veterans have a NCNS every once in a while, regardless of how well we select our companions.  Providers are real people with lives outside the hobby and sometimes sh*t happens.

had you seen her before? has there been contact since? is she TER, CL, BP, eros or from another board?

your story is so thin and lacking in detail that any answer would be speculative and reflect more about the mind set of the personanswering than your situation.

There seems to be an influx of men who seek the lowest common denominator on the boards lately and ..... wonder of all wonders... they are disappointed in their results.  Go figure!

If you are not getting the results you want, alter your selection process. It's not brain surgery or nuclear science, folks.  ;-)

The ONLY recourse is to never book with her again, and/or let your local community know about flaking out.

I don't believe that if you are the one that has to reach out to her for an "excuse", that here would possibly be an acceptable one. If she truly had an unavoidable emergency  and was unable to let you know, the responibility is still on her to reach out to you. IMO NCNS is inexcusable unless number one, there is valid reason for the no show, and number two, the provider in question reaches out to you at the very first possible moment to explain.

Try to contact her and she if she has an acceptable excuse (must be that she was physically unable to contact you). If she has an acceptable excuse fine let it go. If the excuse is bogus or you can not contact her:  WRITE A REVIEW

Try to contact her at the time of the NCNS. If I get no response check for a text or email. If there is not a text or email try to contact her 7 minutes later. If still no contact recheck email and texts and try to contact her one last time. If unsuccessful leave a message expressing concern, displaying annoyance at the NCNS, and officially canceling the session because of her NCNS. Then I go home. If she does not contact me in 24 hours drop her an  email expressing concern. If she does not contact me add her to my do not contact and let anyone who contacts me about her about her NCNS.

If she does contact me and if I find her excuse to be unacceptable I will treat it like no contact had been made and add her to my DNS list. If she contact me and has an attitude I will post about it on the regional board on top of adding her to my DNS list. If she contacts me and has a in my opinion a valid excuse for the NCNS and is apologetic, I may rebook and I would not put her on my DNS list or bring up the NCNS if asked about her. If she some how tries to make it right by offering extra time or a discount I would almost defiantly rebook.

Other than an agency, how can you have a backup plan?  It's not fair to providers to double book in case one lady should stand you up.

By all means, if one continues to seek what he has always sought, he will continue to get what he has always gotten. If that is less than satisfactory, then his seeking should change.

However -- and here is the caveat -- I wonder how "lowest common denominator" is defined. What is the criteria that hobbyists are using that equates to seeking lowest common denominator? Price? menu items? Appearance? Are they just credulous?

TER doesn't accept reviews for non events like NCNS.  That is a risk of the hobby.

Agreed, and it's rare that it happens. I had a NCNS which was beyond annoying, so I'm very clear with providers that they will be available, especially as I have a fair drive to where I hobby (which is not near to  where I work or live). I'm sure providers deal with it often as well, and can't see a way around it - just a risk of the game. Not sure about broadcasting it on message boards. I have no problem writing bad reviews when deserved just as I'll write good ones when deserved, but slating providers seems like a short cut to a blacklist.
