OK,
I know what the definition is...but I (like many I am sure) am a bit oblivious to these section of sexuality.

I understand the anatomy, the genetics, the surgery of some, the hormones of some.  

But who sees these people.  How do they percieve themselves.  How are they percieved by women, by gays, by lesbians.  Is it that prevalent that guys want this?  

I guess I am surprised that TER has an entire board dedicated to this as well as check marks on the search engine, but no board on fetish or BDSM, which, although I know is not near as common as "vanilla" sex, I would think is much more common than transexual.

How many 'hobbyest' have tried this?  Do women frequent them?  How do other providers think about TS?

I think this is an appropriate area for this.. As it would not be seen be the 'average' hobbyists and only seen by 'admirer hobbyist' which would bias the results toward that specific group...
A true TS is some one who's mind and body don't match up.. THERE ARE VERY DIFFERENT CLASSES WITHIN THIS COMMUNITY...
MY background.. I WAS a true, full blown Transsexual.. Totally female mind, soul and being with a part that did not match...
I had this defect corrected.. Now I am, and this is my own 'label' a Post Op Female.. I am a completely functional female. The only thing I cannot do is have children, which is something of a heartache as I would love to bear a child and be a mother..
I do not identify as 'Transsexual' and I surely don't id as 'Transgender' which is a word I HATE...
I am female through and through..

Now to some answers...
Hobbyists that see me see me for a variety of reasons.. Some are TS admirers that have never been with a post op, some have and want to sample me.. These are the fewest class of hobbyist I see as many of these are looking for that 'dual' package girl.. IE Hot looks, wild fun with a bit extra...

The 'average' hobbyists who comes is usually seeking 'the ultimate fantasy' which I am told is my post op status combined with my hot looks (not my opinion).. Hate to say this: 'once male now female' kinda thingy... This is the group I see the most from.

Now there is the other group, the remaining 'average' hobbyists that sees his girls and I am just one of the girls in his stable.. This is the second most seen group I see.. Some came to see me for the 'ultimate fantasy' but find that I am just the same as the other hot 'female' (genetic girls) providers but very good at the services I offer, so they add me to their 'little blackberry'..

Couples are particularly fond of me as both get to try something different in comfortable settings.. I have yet to charge a couple as this plays into my own fantasies and sexual likes.. Don't be narrow..

Other females can be ify.. I have ran into all out jealous from them as well as the very bisexual curious.. I have been hired by a female who wanted to experiment with bisexuality BUT could not bring herself to 'go down' on another female.. BUT she found she did not have those thoughts with me due to me past and the very excitement of the whole idea turned her on..
She reported she has since been with other females and thanked me for the 'ice breaking'...

On other notes: Gay men DO NOT see TSs.. Actually the Gay community is only slightly more tolerant then the straight community toward Transsexuals in general.. Most men who see PRE-OP Transsexuals as 'hobbyist admirers' have bisexual tendencies. BUT NOT ALL DO... AND these men are far from 'gay'.. MANY, if not most would NEVER see a male provider or another man period.....
I have seen men who were not even TS 'friendly' at all. Yet they know my past status.. That should be an indicator as to being in my presence as to what is perceived by the senses, a female..

I hope this provides some clarity to the questions posed...

I was very drawn to this provider who was post-op, and very feminine in their manner and extrememely cerebral in their conversation (Note discussion about sex vs. intellect above.)

However, it did not work for me sexually.  Even though they had all the right equipment and were very willing, my body would not go along for the ride.  My sense is that they were still making love to me the way a man would make love, if that's any help.

You can take the boy out of the body.....

Guys who see transsexuals for the most part consider themselves straight.  Most are married.

Some men just see TS girls as any other girl and ignore the penis - and really all holes are the same in the dark...  Besides it's well known TS's give better head than GG's (girl-girls) and I'm willing to prove it to anyone who buys a ticket to ride.  Giggle.

Some men enjoy receiving anal sex, and may do strap on play wiht female dommes, or their SO's, but want to try the real thing - which is far better. But they would be totally grossed out doing it with another man, but a TS who looks and acts like a woman and has a real boytoy allows a man to identify with her as a woman with a permenant strap on.

Clinically they are bi-sexual, but really people - it's the 21st century and who cares anymore unless they have other hang ups beyond the scope of this discussion.

Myself, I like men as a woman (straight) I like women too - but it's different, I'm a girl with a penis (which every girl needs occasionally) not a man with boobs.  And I'm in a same sex relationship.

So OK I'm bi.  (Tri)  Or my latest "omin-sexual" - meaning I'll have sex with anyone...  giggle!
