I read to fall asleep, and make the room as dark as possible to stay asleep. If I wake up, it's usually from stress and Ambien fixes that nicely.
It's also a good idea to stay off the computer or TV for an hour or so before sleep... the bright screens trick the pineal gland into thinking it is still daytime, throwing your sleep/wake cycle into chaos.

a. This excites me and would keep me awake. b. I get too hot (temperature wise) spooning with someone to sleep well unless I am pretty much passed out exhausted c. I have done this when it is important to change my sleep schedule to maximize my earnings at work d. No way
Best way is to just get myself to the point of being super sleepy, of course my schedule does not always allow that.
I am far from an expert on the subject, but I doubt it's easy for a man to get any sleep with a dick stuck up his ass. Or at least I wouldn't thing so. lol

I really should keep myself away from my computer after doing so though, I've been known to PUI and PMUI, and I've had complex conversations after taking ambien which I didn't recall, so add a Bourbon or two to that and, oh my!
I have a full bottle minus two pills which was what it took for me to call my doctor and ask if he had jokes or what. I have a regular pharmacy over here actually. All pills that I cannot take. You take one and it's goodnight Irene. But, the side effects are beyond the scope of cool. One example is my tongue was so dry I could have sanded the entire exterior of a Catholic Church. That's fun right? NOOOOOOOOO! So now I just take a half a Xanax, watch some sexy Russian spies on tv, have some qt with my favorite viking and eventually I sleep and I stay asleep at least until 430am 🌞
I don't experience the dry tongue you describe. I gave one to a friend on a golf trip, he was bunking with a guy who snores like a bear as I do and he couldn't get any sleep. I told him "take it when you are in your room and ready for bed". He took it and went outside for a cig before bed and said that when he was walking down the hall to go back to his room he could hardly walk.
It's good stuff, and allows me to sleep through the night.

I swear to god it works. Y'all should try it. But you need to get pandora one otherwise the commercials will drive you nuts. lol.
Spooning is the last thing to get me to sleep. It's too hot. Porn/orgasms do help me sleep because it gets rid of any pain in my body due to the pleasure chemicals outweighing the small discomforts. It's a great way to soothe restlessness too.
Lay down in bed and close my eyes. That ususlly does the trick.
