Instead of complaining about the double standard, hows about you just tell providers what you think is an appropriate method of screening.

Since I hear all the ladies do screening...how many have you run a credit report on a gentleman like you were running a Car fax report on a car?

I haven't run a gents info through a people search data base.
I have googled names and numbers...

I am not even in the same ballpark as a "feminist," but nor am I a "masculinist." I am, instead, a fairly honest observer.

Let's look at the facts.

How many women, as a percentage of the female population, commit murder? Rape? How many men, as a percentage of the male population, commit murder? Rape? The answer is that men are statistically FACTORS more likely to engage in a serious crime of violence such as murder or rape.

Thus, a woman needs to screen more than a man does. When is the last time you heard of an escort running around killing hobbyists? Like ... never?

The man's protection comes from only visiting well-reviewed providers and avoiding the use of substances that could impair his judgment or leave him vulnerable.

It's not a double standard -- it's a simple response to the facts of reality.

Since WE are the ones looking for a service, thems the breaks. Personally, the more a girl screens, the less I worry. The best ones are usually the hardest to book with and that is for a variety of reasons.

Let me see....I provided my real info ONCE when I was a first time client, age, weight, race, profession, if I was circumsized or not, any acne or other skin problems, etc. etc. The one girl who asked for ALL of that, was the most pricy and the absolute best I have ever been with. Of course, since she was so expensive I have not had the chance to see her again.

The other extreme was I called up a girl once and she said come on over...DID NOT GO!

You are not going to change a lady's policy and I am not suggesting you change yours, but it is what it is. You wanna play, deal with it or see girls who don't care...in which case you put yourself at greater risk. Girls who screen heavily normally don't have pimps waiting in the other room either LOL.

Let's think about this rationally for a second. I weigh 130ish and am 5'6. Here I am in a hotel room with a man who out weighs me often by 75+ pounds....and who can also is way stronger than me I don't care how much I work out. What if the man I am alone in a hotel room with also is a registered sex offender....who just got out of jail after doing 20 years FOR RAPING, KIDNAPPING, AND ALMOST KILLING SEVERAL PROVIDERS? I had him call me for a date a while back and thanked my common sense for screening him.

Again I weigh 130ish.....there is very little I can physically do to cause serious hurt, harm, or danger to a grown healthy man. However there is a lot more on the table as far as my safety is concerned when I am alone with a client.

How about the lady have a body guard with a 9mm pistol sitting in a chair watching you while she sucks and fucks you. Then she won't need to screen you.

Interesting you should mention that. I came up with that a while back for those men who did not want to be screened.

So you wanna meet a friendly and hot lady... You come to TER and type in the general screening info - looks, age, reputation and location info. You get a list of potentials and then look at the details many other gents have provided that are either encouraging or subtle warnings (these are our references). Note that many ladies only ask for a couple of references yet many gents require MANY more than that.

Many gents take that further and pm the reviewers for even more info. Then you also have the storefront (ladies website) to browse, and there is a searchable history tied to these stores as well (how long they have been in biz, etc.)

If all this looks great, you can send that introduction and note the tenor of the response before confirming. Many gents go even farther using many of the same search and screening methods a lady would use.

At this point you've decided to meet the lady and yet all you are willing to tell Her is that your name is john.

I DO realize that providers are no more saintly than hobbyists. Recently, in metro Boston, a provider was sent to the slammer for blackmailing a hobbyist.

And women's prisons exist for a reason -- namely that women are not immune to committing violent crimes.

That having been said, a quick glance at the FBI uniform crime report for any given year indicates that, proportional to population, women are much less likely than men to engage in murder or rape.

I'm not saying it's impossible -- just a lot less likely.

I suspect most risks are completely avoidable simply by limiting one's choice of providers to ladies with a handful of reviews. If a lady has been well reviewed a couple of times, it is unlikely that she will suddenly develop a fetish for male blood.  (*chuckle*)

The biggest risk I can see is that some of these ladies are so beautiful you might get facial bruising from your jaw hitting the floor or a case of priapism.

That's all fine, but my issue as a male is:  I'm tired of men being portrayed as evil and women being portrayed as innocent and impossible of doing something unfair.
I believe in equality and I think it is bullshit to say all men are probably bad and all women are probably good.  I've met plenty of providers that had poor attitudes towards men and were basically rip offs.  I treat others with love and respect and I expect the same.
Why assume someone is bad news up front?
That's like saying a black man will probably commit a crime, just because there are so many black men in jail.
I'm white but when I see a black man, I do not assume they will steal something or they are up to no good.
