Why doesn't everyone use date-check.  Several years ago I looked at it and for some reason I declined to join.  However, I joined today and it was so easy.  It seems a million times easier than providing references.

I have not joined it yet because I do not know if all providers accept date-check as proof. I am thinking right now that only the providers listed on the date-check site accept date-check as a reference.

I mean if every provider accepts date-check, even the ones that are not listed on the date-check site..... I would sign up instantly!

Because I see a lot of providers ads showing nothing about date-check as a reference...

Maybe someone can clarify for me here?

Preferred-411 and Room Service 2000. Each one has its own advantages and disadvantages, Membership costs is not the least among them for some hobbyists. There's been a multitude of posts about all of them both here and on the Newbie board. A simple search will bring someone up to date.

I love date-check It sems that gents on the east coast know about and use more then west coast. i have used since 04. I do do alot of checking. I do know that gents with more then one refrence are exceptable. Unfortuneatly some ladies in this industry are a little clingy to their clients and when you attempt to make refrence calls they ether do not ever respond or seem unlikely to give you info. So in the long run. Some of you gents may never see some ladies because you ATF is afraid of losing money to others...We are not here to be your wife or long time girlfriend.We are here to fulfill your fantasies and create long lasting memories...Sorry no pots with boiling rabbits....

I have joined date check and have no re-started hobbying yet, but I did contact a provider getting ready to get back into the swing.  She said it was fine, but I still needed to provide certain information. I don't mind, but how has the date check helped me with this lady.  Also, note that Robin, clearly a savvy and attractive lady, also requires additional references,  I really want a service that is start to finish complete since I have been out of action for about a year and want to be able to see someone without having to get references. I can be googled and appear all over the web and this was sufficient for someone a while ago, but why not a single service that works for everyone (and why not great desserts that have no calories and a muscle building routine that requires no work, while we're at it?)

When a lady signs up and fills her profile out she can make choices on how many providers a gentlemen has seen..I call this how many whitelists they have as on TER..You may click on just screened by datecheck, have 1 or 2 provider references or more than 3

I myself in the beginning thought just being screened would be enough but now i'm wondering about that..I'm sure they do a better job than me!

Whats a gentleman to do if he's a newbie with no past experience with any other lady..Either I screen them or trust that DateCheck does..For this data base to grow and thrive we need new gentlemen and new ladies..

I guess i'm like the gentleman who took a chance on me and posted my first review..

In fact my cousins DoctorFollowmeGyno and DoctorFollowmeDDS all have our office together, that way you can have your oral and digital exam at the same time.
Now cousin DrFollowmeProctoligist has his office in the back in the basement, he is a bit behind the times.

for whatever reason, when I tell ladies to google me, they seem satisfied - maybe because they can see my handsome self... not in all its glory of course, but they get the 'picture'

A very funny thing, when I started hobbying a few years before my marriage, one lady I was with told me that I looked, acted and spoke like LE!  never could figure that out...

Now, when I call for a date - even ladies who I KNOW to be tough screeners, they don't even ask for as much as I provide... Once I asked a very UTR lady why she did not request any info from me.... her response, 'you sound like you've done this before, you sound simple in your requests, and kinda normal'  Which makes me wonder how the other hobbiests sound.

But then I see someone like the guy below who posts in all capital letters and bashes ladies for not immediately dropping everything JUST to service him!  well, it takes all types.

I do the majority of my play in one city.  I know enough people there that it's never an issue.

On the rare instances that I'm out of my area, I have enough references that it works out.

Maybe I'm just lucky.

I can only speak for myself but for me to rely on someone else checking someone I am going to be spending time alone with, let alone the risk of the delightful SS bracelets , does not sit well with me.

I have the time and will check till I am satisfied and if not, I can refuse the appointment.

You'll find that in regard to screening many of us have multiple ways in which we go about the process of screening. I'm sure it can be mildly annoying for the guys as there is very little consistency in some cases.

Kathy of 47th Street as a reference like you do Phil. I mean she turned me down (apparently she didn't read the "providers are not suppose to care what you look like" thread) rather summarily.

She is the gold standard for references.
