When I started in this Hobby (not that I'm a Veteran) I was told by a provider to only stay with "independent" girls. This may be one of her reasons for telling me.

I agree with you and hope that this behavior is the exception and not the rule. Mutual consent is a must.

I have no problem if a male run agency frequents their providers, as long as he leaves a donation, even at a discounted rate.
I would also boycott a agency if I knew they were forcing one of their own to perform for free.IMO it does border on rape.Sounds like the agency owner yearns to be a candidate for Dexter.
I don't care to know the young lady's identity, but I would like to know what agencies to boycott, though I have a sneaking suspicion .
PM accepted.

is that the poster who claims to "notbestupid", must not be too smart to make a ridiculous blanket statement like that.

I don't normally make statments like that under my "real" handle as my name comes up in red, but since I can "see behind the curtain" where it comes to aliases, I wanted to give him equal footing.

It was recently brought to my attention that a well known agency forces their ladies to have sex with agency owners/employees. This makes me sick, especially if my patronage of said agency facilitated this. I know that I will NEVER see another girl from this agency again. Am I just naive to think this doesn't happen more often than not?  How do you guys feel about it? This lady is the sweetest girl I've ever met and to think she was basically raped just breaks my heart. When it comes to a point where I feel I'm exploiting these ladies rather than paying for a mutually consentual service then I'll know it's time to quit.

It happens...also, girls steal $ from agencies and threaten owners.. there is abuse both ways sometimes.
She should not oblige to such demands and simply work somewhere else.

It's great that you refuse to use the agency any longer but, I hope the women in question have the guts to walk away (most don't). There is an agency here in Louisiana where the girls are forced to service the owner or pimp & hotel staff on demand and it makes me sick that the guys just rave about the girls 18-23 if they knew the truth I doubt they would continue to use the service.

I have always assumed ladies in agencies who have these same set routine probably had someone from the agency show them what to do.you can never know which girls are being forced and which girls do it because they want to do it unless you stumble upon something. Wish there was a way to know to not visit the girl being taken advantage of, but really can't tell so its a crap shoot and hope for the best.

Unlike many occupations in which the employee does not own the means of production or possess the capital with which to acquire it; providers own their own means of production -- they take it with them everywhere they go.

Hence, assuming a woman of normal capacities working for an agency, if matters were such as you describe she could switch to another agency or go independent.

While I have never used an agency because it is incompatible with certain aspects of my nature in most cases; I know ladies who were previously indie who went to work for an agency, and were pleased to do so. Why?

Working for an agency, even though they collected less money per appointment, netted them more total appointments and more income than they had achieved on their own. Furthermore, they no longer had the burdens of screening, had a driver and someone checking on them for greater safety, etc.

Agencies in many cases are a win-win when dealing with commoditized sex because they generally put forth providers at a lower price than they would usually charge as independents while the providers have greater net income and security. Some agencies also exercise pretty strict standards with their providers in terms of looks, performance and in some cases even STD testing in order to uphold their own reputation as an agency.

Because of this, and because agencies advertise so they would be known, any provider being mistreated at one agency would be able to move to another agency assuming she were otherwise free to move. And if no other agencies were available, she could go independent. Startup costs are minimal compared with starting a farm or something.

So it would seem to me that in any case where this is an ongoing problem, there is likely a complementary problem that reduces the provider's freedom of movement. THAT is the crux of the issue: WHY isn't she free to go?

Since many agencies are owned by women, WHY do any providers work for agencies owned by men?

I have met 3 agency owner/operators.

2 of them were women and 1 was a man.

Of the 2 that were run by women 1 of the women was a professional, fair and respectable manager, the other was a back stabbing, greedy psychopath who blackmailed the ladies who worked for her.

The agency run by the man was professional and fair, but I think he didn't put as much emphasis on safety as there should be.  This was solely my opinion as the ladies that worked with him were all happy.

Basically, what I'm trying to say is that there are bad people running agencies and good people running agencies, some men and some women.  It's just ignorant to think that because it's run by a man or a woman it would be better, safer etc.

My 2 cents.

I can only say I have the lady's word against that of the agency. I believe her. She was fine just a couple of weeks ago and after this incident is no longer with them. I also hesitate to out the agency because this information was told to me in confidence. I don't want anything to be traced back to this lady.  I'm assuming that the agency has her personal information and the agency guy involved could probably figure out who it was since it happened this week. For the record even though I maintain contact with this lady I never saw her without booking her through the agency. My opinion is that the agency was showing her that they controlled her and could do whatever they want with her.

I know an agency owner who is male and he puts safety way before profit. Many locals won't use him because of his screening procedures. I'm told that he hires less than 10% of the ladies who apply.

Like one poster said, it is not male/female it is the individual owner.

Any entrepreneur who uses their "power" over their employees should be outed because I know most of members of TER would banned them.

On the agency side, I dont really see to many situations where a lady is FORCED to have sex with the agency owner but I have seen several duped into doing it as SOME use it as a part of their "interviewing process". It happens a lot with the new and fresh ladies entering the industry cause several think its "normal" and "expected".

On that note, I know several male agency owners that run top notch agencies and do not partake on the ladies services, I know of ladies that will throw themselves at an agency owner thinking they will become a favorite by having sex with him, I know female agency owners that like one poster said, blackmail and treat their ladies like crap.

Again, like one poster said, some ladies MO is to lie or to have a story to have people feel bad for them. SOME ladies will lie to trash an agencies reputation for whatever reason, not saying its not true but it happens a LOT more often than you think. Dont be suprised if she asks you for "help" here soon.
Upon hiring ladies, and trust me Ive talked to 100s of ladies, I find SOMETIMES that talking to ladies that have worked with agencies always seem to have a story about how awful the agency was and the "reason" why they left. I network with several agencies around the way and the number one thing I hear when ladies come from a male ran agency they mention that they were fired but it was because they wouldnt have sex with the agency owner but forget to mention they stole money or whatever. Again, I am not saying this happens all the time but it does happen.

Be careful out there

There are good agencies and bad.  While I know some that do what the OP described I know others where it doesn't work that way at all.  Claiming ALL agencies are run by dirtbags is just as erronious as saying all agencies are run by saints.

"All" is a really big number.

So long as LE can't/refuses to differentiate between prostitution and trafficing it's hard to take them as being honest.

If they'd focus on the violence, drugs, coersion, etc., and quit saying prostitution is the same as those things they might find there are a lot of people who would be less hostile and more cooperative.  But I doubt I'll see that change.

I am speaking from experience I used to be an agency girl before going Independent this year there are good and bad agencies.I have never encountered an agency owner expecting me to do something with him. Most of the agencies I worked for are owned by men never had an issue the one agency I worked with that was owned by a woman who also was a provider total drama!!She was not cool and I would of thought because it was female owned and she was a provider it would be better than the others Boy,was I wrong. Now I am sure there are agencies that do try to take advantage of young ladies that do not know and are desperate to start working I just never heard of any.I will say the agencies that I have experienced(not all)that safety was not their main concern if something happens to a lady they are not there to protect you or really to do anything you are on your own.Sorry this happened to your friend but there are so many other agencies to go with. But for the person that made the comment that this happens if the agencies are run by men then all of them act this way this is not true.If you do not know for a fact then don't say anything because with that statement you have lumped every guy that runs an agency into that category which is not fair.To the ladies that do work for agencies more power to them been there done that and I know from my experience I am much happier as an Independent.
Just my .02 on this topic.

and quit working for that damn agency. I think some females believe its easier to do their work thru a third party rather than putting in the effort themselves. Damn and look at what happens. So sorry to hear about your friend babe......

Some do, some don't... I've had my share of good & bad agency experiences.. unfortunately, mostly bad in my case. Agencies, where they claim they are "woman owned & operated".. only to find out there's actually a "pimp/boyfriend" behind the scenes... a "referral agency" who claimed he had to "see for himself" so he could let the interested guys know what I did & didn't do & that he would pay me later & that all the girls were "interviewed" like this...even though this was day 3 of "working" for him... In both instances, I was far from home, but in my own car, so I was able to get away.. but I can imagine how these situations may have gone for a girl who had been flown out there, and had no means to just get up and leave.

I won't use an agency anymore but I know of 4 girls who were required to sleep with the owner and blow the collector.  At least 4 of this agency's girls have been threatened if they become indys in this area
