I assume they provide security and maybe advertising but is there more? Is it a voluntary deal where the girl can ditch them at any time or are the girls stuck with a manager like it or not?

Many of these women try to leave and go Indy, and are told their business will be ruined if they dare try and work in the same area where the agency had promoted them. I think for new girls who have no clue about screening, working for an agency is a good choice. Why? Because as I said, they have no clue about anything concerning safety, etc. Many new girls think bbfs is the norm, and that they are expected to do it because some asshole told them so.  

it's mainly true in NY that the good agencies let girls go indy without any negative consequences.  I know several girls who started at agencies like Aphrodite Companions who are now indies and had no problems.  Same thing with the Dream Team,  Belle de Jour, Candy's and others.  There are a lot of girls who stay simply because they just don't want to deal with screening or working out of their own incall.

I was lucky enough to start with Rachel and when I decided to go Indy she was not happy but.. She was at least professional about it... You won't find many like that...

As an ex agency gal

When you speak of management I am assuming you are meaning agencies?
I am speaking from only my experience.
I started in this business as agency gal that is all I knew about this business starting out.
I thought that is how it was done working for an agency and they handle everything.
I knew some ladies worked as independents but honestly I thought being an independent was putting up an ad on eros and wait for the phone to ring.
As you can see at the time I was completely clueless.
Some ladies may just not know how to become an indy and figure it is easier to work with an agency.
The agencies handle screening(hope she is working for an agency that actually screens although that is different topic all together),advertising,etc.Some are good and some not so good.

I got sick of the agencies I was working for and their BS and greed and did my research to becoming an indy.Becoming an independent for me was like becoming new in this business all over again.
Everything I thought I knew I realized I had no idea it is a learning process 3 yrs later I am still learning.

I read tons of different boards and lurked before I even posted one ad as an independent.
I am very happy with my decision to becoming an independent and know that I am in charge and not leaving it up to an agency.I quit and never looked back.
Every lady does what works for her.There are many ladies who started out as an agency because they were just learning the business or maybe did not have the money to start off posting ads.
Or maybe they felt safer dealing with an agency who knows.
I am just sharing my experience

As a lucky client of Jaydalee as an independent , you would not find a more enjoyable experience ! She is very personable, professional , and so dam sexy !!Point is , as a client if you do your research there are many independent providers that are awesome !!!
