I've seen a lot of heated debates in other forums but the number of people on here who can so casually post something to a thread with the only intention being to insult someone is amazing.

Other than a few trolls, even those of us who do get heated offer great advice most of the time...in public and via PM. I've had so many women tell me that the known assholes helped them out with real life saving advice before, so I don't think the main objective is just to be mean. Some of us can't help but call out stupidity and contradictions. I don't think there is ever a reason to get into the "You're fat, old, worn out" stuff, but it tends to happen. I try not to ever make fun of how someone looks, but I will call out ignorance when it's right there.
Your thread has been posted a dozen times, and always with the same result...people will say, "You can't change others, and no one is forcing you to be here." If you are seriously here for information, then the newbie board is probably the best resource. The GD is for shits and giggles, but you will find the other boards do not take kindly to insults.
I think what some fail to realize is that many of us are paid to be here...not on TER, but where we can screen for other women and help them market. Not all of us are just providers...we wear many hats, and that includes doing constant research on these boards and behind the scenes for the women we are paid to work for.

It is one thing to go head to head on this board, but if the peoples' words bother you when you get off of here, you need therapy. Not "you" of course, but in the general sense. Everyone knows the GD is for the big dogs, not those who need their ass kissed. That is what the newbie board is for. People have ALWAYS argued and talked shit on the GD...even when the mods were here. It will always happen, because drama attracts new visitors. Those who never read these boards are not part of that statistic. They simply do not come here at all.
I have to remind myself that's what drew me in to start with....it's a fools errand to try and come here looking to be taken seriously.

I mean, in the larger sense. Obviously, as a hooker who frequents the board, I know those who have reviewed me personally and have seen clients that contact me, here. But I've met people off Twitter and Tumblr, too, and those are still largely as anonymous as you care to make them. As in, your real name and photo are not attached to your username and there are largely no consequences to your actions, here.

It's always been that way, and most likely it always will be. Nothing really ever changes too much. The P&R board cycles between between left and right, just like politics itself, and this is not the first time the board has been moderated.

As with any forum, whether it be online or not, there are people who think the only way they can look good or feel good is to try to make someone else look bad or feel bad. And then there always have been and always will be those folks who are so miserable that they just can't stand but to impose their miserable state of mind upon others. I like my hobby life, and this is the only place I get to discuss it, you would never guess I hobby if you met me in person and of course my professional life needs to be separated from this altogether. I look forward to going to a meet and greet soon after the holidays so that I can talk with people in person about the hobby. I hope the few idiots haven't spoiled you from future participation on this board, you'll learn as I have to simply pass over their responses. Just recently someone posted how vile something was, and spelled it vial, and one of these fools started a rant about the misspelling, while it was very clear from context what the person meant. While this may seem very insignificant it's indicative of how trivial and unnecessarily critical some of these folks can be. We need folks like yourself who bring a fresh perspective to the board, so I hope you continue to participate. I can assure you I won't always agree with what you have to say, but I can assure you I'll always respect your right to voice your opinion,. Happy posting and have a safe and enjoyable hobby.

I'm the one who pointed out the mis-use (not a mis-spelling, BTW) of the word "vial" for "vile." And if you go back and read it, it wasn't a "rant." Just poking fun at it in my guise as The Cunning Linguist.
The larger point is that we are communicating through the written word here and if words are mis-used to a certain point, effective communication doesn't take place. Taken to an extreme, you have posts like those of AngelExotic (whom I like despite it) and Serafima, which verge on the incoherent. And if you can't take a little joshing on a fuck board, just take your toys and go home.
