such as a M&G - where a hefty portion of the entry fee was to be donated to a worthy charity - I would attend... worth charities would include...
Charaties that fund:
Breast cancer....
Cancer....
victims of abuse
st. Judes,
The Shriner's hospitals for kids.
Charaties that supply support for the families of fallen law enforcement officials...
Once I was invited to such a charitable event... hosted by a wonderful provider... Unfortunately - somehow, such a great concept was destroyed by clowns.
never mind... just read it.
I like the message and the moxie of this woman... if it were legal here, we could raise all kinds of money... Think of it... with all of the lovelies in CA alone, we could jam the 5, 405, the 10, and the PCH for months... By the way, I got dibs on the administrative fees with running the U.S. version of the charity... Thanksgiving could take on a whole new meaning... well sort of...
I've seen providers here in the states make announcements on their websites that $50 or 10% (or something of the like) of every donation they receive around the holidays will be donated to _____________________ (charity). They do this without raising their rates. Furthermore, any tips they receive during that spell get kicked over to the charity as well. Personally, I think this is great and I do my part to support it. If you think about it, it's actually smart as well as a decent and kind thing to do. A lot of hobbyists probably cling to their "hobby funds" a little tighter this time of year, choosing to spend it on family and friends or perhaps donating some if not all to charity. This time last year, I swore off the hobby and depleted my hobby fund entirely to charity. I don't regret it, and it made me feel good about myself to know that I was doing something that would have a positive impact on many others. I returned to "action" this past spring, but have only hobbied a fraction of what I used to (partly due to finances, but not entirely). IF I do hobby between now and then, it would only be with a provider who I KNOW has the same generous outlook with her money around the holidays that I do. I know several who fit this bill (in fact, one of my 2 ATF's is probably the most generous person I know). Hopefully, my schedule will cooperate....

If some of the LE who have been harassing immigrants, legal and illegal, in some of our cities around the country, knew that good folks like you wanted to remember their loved ones, we might someday expect a charitable attitude toward our friends, whose activites should be legal and whose work is a respectable form of therapy and fun.
I don't shill, so no name. Unlike in Chile, she receives no publicity about it.
I wonder which "charity" it is ?
Layla
a payment to a provider?
No. Nope. Not at all. Believe me I've thought about it. The only way faintly that I could do it is give them a salary from my company and then it just gets buried in employee wages. But that would required you getting their real name and SSN and very very few would do that.
" Unlike in Chile, she receives no publicity about it."
Unlike in Chile, she could go to jail for it.
Viva Chile
Looks like there is a "charity" coming up soon. ![]()
Does this one get the publicity that "Santa" gets ? ![]()
Gotta love these ladies who do good "deeds" for good causes ![]()

There is my talented, beautiful and generous daughter helping to make the world a better place.
Of course, I am idealizing a bit, but the important thing is that she is doing something that she feels is right and hoping the people she loves support her.
I think it is right on that she does so.
