Gee, right. What percentage of that 56% that said "No" to the second question has never been tested? I've long suspected a lot of guys (including those in the hobby) can be clueless with respect to their body and their health. Newsflash -- a lot of STDs never present noticeable symptoms, or symptoms minor enough that a lot of guys ignore them.

So what test(s) do you ask for? Is there ONE test that screens for everything? Do you specifically ask to test for (ex. HIV, chlamydia, herpes, etc.)? Certainly one would not go to the family doctor for this, nor would you apply the visit towards medical coverage (insurance). How much does it cost? How do you get the results? Should you provide an anonymous name?
I'm not being snide, I'm really asking for input here. Your help would be appreciated.
Also, why don't we discuss the actual transmission of disease. For instance, BBBJ increases risk of STD transmission by what %. What about cunnilingus? For fully covered sessions, which STDs can still transmit?
Not a simple subject - but certainly a very important one. Maybe staff should add a STD/hygeine board.
There have been a great many posts about STDs with references to websites where the kind of information you're asking for is readily available. Do a find message search with that as the subject & you should find what you're looking for. Be prepared for a lot of reading!
I go to a local county health clinic monthly under a different name, they don't ask for id. They do however ask several times during the exam for my name, birth date and SS number so it's a good idea to keep track of what you gave them.
I've been immunized against Hep B. You can call your local county health clinic and ask what the max is for testing without insurance. I pay 80.00 in my state.
I tell them that I'm dating and sexually active. I ask them to test for every STD in my mouth, rear and vagina. Staff has been wonderful when I've gone. They're open to discussing anything you ask and even give you a bag of safe sex gifts when you leave. LOL Great time to snag some female condoms to try out, they're hard to find.
They take blood and I undergo physical exam's. I call in for results for all my tests the following week with my fake name as ID.
