With the implementation of the 3rd round of Quantitative Easing (QE3), perhaps this is an opportunity for providers to take full advantage of this policy.

Providers, if you have previously considered accepting credit but decided not to take that form of payment, this could be the time to rethink that position.  As the markets start seeing the influx of QE3 and access to money in the form credit becomes easier for your existing clients and prospects, utilizing credit could be an option to grow your business.   Just think about it!

Most hobbyists are probably using mobile devices and apps that are more amenable to discreetly setting up other forms of payment.  Yes, cash is king but at some point you have to differentiate your business.  Otherwise, you will continue facing ever increasing competition over fewer real dollars.

Providers, those who do accept credit and utilize electronic forms of payment, how is your business going in these difficult economic times? Does it enable a more consistent cash flow and reduce uncertainty compared to accepting cash only?

So just because of Fed doing QE3, means that banks are going to start handing out loans (in form of LOC, Credit Card etc)  like Halloween candy?

This post is lame than any DICK SIZE and I-FELL-FOR-HOOKER posts...

Get real dude...

If you think some of this money is not going to find its way into this hobby, you are naive and misinformed on the transfer of money.

No one is saying the $ won't find it's way here, it's that CC paper trails are not a good idea.

Any sort of paper or cyber trail pointing to an illegal activity is counter-intuitive to remaining anonymous.  Just ask Eliot Spitzer how well it worked-out for him.

just heard QE3 for the first time on CNBC. Thought he should google it to find out what QE is all about. Comes here and makes a lame ass post. LMAO

i can get my dick hard on queue..is that the same thing?

With CCs, you have to claim every dime you make, and I prefer to pay more or less certain times of the year. Everything I give to charity and deposit in my bank account, has to be claimed so that's enough of a paper trail for me. I know many providers who use CCs, and do very well especially on the tip part. Guys tend to spend more money on a CC, vs. cash.

What do you say I pay you with counterfeit money to complete the trifecta...;)

Dear Ms. Rayne:
Although you said no,no,no,he knew you was a ho,ho,ho. However you were cognizant to check your dough.

OK, since you're giving me carte blanche, how about this fantasy.

You find out that I'm trying to scam you by handing you an envelope full of pesos, so you frisk me up and down ...and you find this huge wad...and money as well.  We engage in.... "don't fuck with me like that again" type sex.  As we're working up a lather, you let slip about your creative tax sheltering.  I flash my IRS credentials and you start crying, begging me not to report you. I'm a sympathetic guy, so I accept your blow job as a token of your appreciation.

THE END

I toy with you for a good 2 hours making you think you're going to get a nut...I know the money is fake. Just when you think you're about to cum, I kick you in the nuts and flash my BADGE and GUN, and have your wife hiding in the closet the whole time. I testify for her at your divorce hearing, and get a huge percentage for doing so...much more than the rate you tried to stiff me for.

The End...meh.

Hi London,

Well I guess the hobby can be a form of "stimulus," for real, in that in gets people to take money out of savings and put it in circulation (assuming they don't cut back on other expenses). Some people think QE3 is a bit like "pushing on a string," or if you want to use another metaphor  ... well, you get the idea.

I do wonder if providers will find it easier to put those little dongles on their phones and take card payments, suppose there is a bit of risk but maybe some reward too. I suspect it will take a bit of time to become the norm.

QE3 just means the Fed is buying $40bb of mortgage-backed securities every month.  How does that trickle down to the microeconomy of providers and hobbyists?

One has nothing to do with the other.

But more importantly, do you want a paper trail caused by a credit card?

I asked this question of a friend who replied...

A WSJ blog today suggests that any effect of QE3 has been already been built into the price of the mortgage-backed securities the Fed will be buying. Even if that wasn't the case any effect we see now would be perceptual rather than actual since we are in the early days of this QE cycle.

In any economy there are people with money to spend. However this morning 700 workers at the Campbell plant in Sacramento found out the plant (open since 1947) will close. As long as people fear that they may lose their job and if they do nothing else will be available they, as they should be, will be tight with their spending and taking on more debt. A large amount of spending in the past was predicated on the belief that housing prices always would go up. Tell that to those those based their financial decisions on that erroneous assumption. My youngest son took many economics courses through his time in college. Upon graduation I asked what had he learned about economics. He said the main thing he learned was that economists really couldn't predict anything. I, the optimist, see better times ahead but unfortunately that may be based more on hope that any solid knowledge.
