In case you haven't noticed, providers come & go continuously.
From time to time, we'll meet one that so exceeds our expectations that we hope she'll be available for a long time to come.
Everybody - providers, hobbyists, & people who don't know our meaning of 'hobby' alike - comes to a crossroad in their life where they have to decide whether to stay their course or make a change. For a provider, how much they're earning would almost certainly be part of the calculus that determines their decision.
Let's pretend you're a newer provider, but somehow have managed to have as much business as you'd like, and find yourself in the Top 10 of your large city. Let's also pretend that you're having trouble coming to grips with some of the realities of providing, feel your heart strings tugging you toward more convention in your relationships & lifestyle. If you were making 25 or 33 or 50 percent more for your efforts, the troubles & the heart strings would still be there, but they'd be easier to justify.
IOW, there are are a lot of folks in Boston who want Octavia to unrepentently stay in the hobby. I can hardly blame them - besides being so open & interesting on this board, there's that whole YOWSAH! aspect.
