Three times in the last week I got PMs from three different providers asking me for specific information. I graciously answered all three of them. Not a one sends me a simple "thx." Is it that fucking difficult to send a fucking three letter fucking PM? Am I expecting too much for helping someone on a fucking fuck board? Should I send a PM saying "you're welcome." Will they even get the hint?

Blame the parents. I was led by good examples growing up.
When did they change the rule about wearing a hat indoors?

I agree with perfectstorm.  How are you to know your message has even been received unless you get some sort of verification back?

I will say, however, some providers are wonderful at responding to every message, regardless of which of us initiated a question or started a conversation.  That speaks volumes to me about their classiness.   Those who don't respond to a message just don't reach that level.

By posting this as a reply to anonymousfun.  For the record, my studies show af has never posted a positive comment about anything on any board.  What's up with that???

The OP has a very valid point, a simple thank you is all that would suffice if for nothing else but to let him know they had received it.

who can't read a date I am in town asking to see me, and I always refer them to someone else saying I am either not there or I require 24 Hours notice. Do they bother to thank me for taking my time to go look up websites, emails, and phone numbers for other choices...nope. From now on, I am not replying at all.

Another pet peeve is when these so called newbies post threads asking for advice and all the members here take the time to respond...the OP never even bothers to come back and check the thread for replies! WTF...why bother posting for advice if you're not going to read it? Stupid.

First of all, I never ask for discounts. (but if offerred, I accept them)

Secondly, these have nothing to do with dates or even providers that I will ever see. It is just a TER member helping a TER member. I was solicited for information, and I provided it.

Third, it's not the first time this happened, and it's not just providers. It happens with hobbyists too. People ask for information in PMs and on posts. They get the info they want and don't even bother to say thanks. It is just common courtesy.  Many do say thank you, but many don't. Three PMs in a row, just set me on my rant.

There are guys that ask for me to post a pic, that never say thanks. That is why I quite posting them as much, more complaints than thank yous. But that is life. Some times I wonder if they "Will they even get the hint?"
