Price comes from what you pay in green stamps from your wallet, but value is only in your head. Correlation of price to value is a near impossible feat as one man's treasure is another man's trash bin. There are plenty of ladies that will clean your clock for less than others and plenty more will charge you more and it can feel like a whole lot less. Choose your providers based on what you want/need from them. Don't expect that high dollar hotties give you any more or less, they just charge more because someone is willing to pay. She is no more exclusive than the next one. Sure, she may have to see fewer men to meet her economic needs, but don't buy that it makes her better.

NYC, L.A., Chi.,D.C., & Vegas ( some will dispute this list ) you're gonna have to fork over big $ if you wanna see someone attractive.
It's supply & demand & if these ladies are charging such rates, it means that hobbyists are paying those fees. Capitalism at work, folks.

When I hobbied in L.A. in late 80's, I used to "shtupp" a provider who appeared in Penthouse mag for $ 150 ; sadly, those days are no longer.

There are MANY attractive and reasonably priced providers in those cities.

This is 2011, not the 80's.

There's NO difference between a $1000 BBBJ and a 300 BBBJ IMO. The higher pricetags are purely pretentiousness and regional market value IMO. I'm done with my opinions. LMAO

I try to base a ladies menu and looks to decide what i want to spend. If i think she's worth 500hr i wont mind forking it over.

If her rates are 400hr and i think her menu only resembles 250hr , i will try to negotiate 2hrs for 400 that way im getting some value for my money.

Me personally i can care less about money its the value that im getting for that money spent.

The most I have ever paid was $400 for one hour and, while the lady was young and gorgeous the experience was not all that great.  She didn't last long in the business and I wasn't surprised.
OTOH I have had some amazing times for $200 to $250 and my ATF is in the $300 range (actually $550 for two hours but we usually spend five or six hours together).

I have no  problem with a woman charging whatever she feels her time is worth but It's rare that I will try a new girl who charges more than what I pay from my established favs.

There is a thread from a few days ago about the price of this hobby dropping because of the economy.

I live in SoCal, the OC, and after looking at the ads on the regional board was thinking just the opposite. There, the prices are pretty high. Lots of $500 - 1000 hr ladies are advertising.

Anyway, it got me to thinking about the "best" I've ever experienced and how much it cost me.

My best was a gal named Becky from Laguna Beach. I found her thru the phone book ( an agency ) and she charged me $200. Granted this was a few years ago,,, but even then $200 was inexpensive.

In fact, most of my favorite encounters were less than $400.

I have had a few $500-600 encounters and the only one which was memorable was Naughty Ali ( we ended up becoming friends ). The others were,,,,Ok, but not off the charts rip roaring great.

I have never pd more than $600 so I don't know what that would be like.

So, the question is,,,,,,,

How much correlation do you see between satisfaction and price paid?????

What you are talking about has to do with what a person can afford, not what it is worth.

I can afford the $400 or $500 dollar an hour escort. I have simply learned to judge by a criteria other than price.

Based on my experience in NY in the late '80s I'd say bagging a Penthouse gal for $150 was a steal of a deal, but not typical of price/value even for that time.  I was paying $150 around then, too, for perfectly good-looking girls on the East Side, non GFE and not quite Penthouse material.  Must be your good looks!
The good news is, these days you can still get with a great-looking gal for $300.  Adjusted for inflation that's not so bad.

I screen for whatever attributes are important to me at any price point; so all ladies I have seen have possessed those attributes. So once screening is accomplished, there is no discernible correlation between satisfaction and price because anyone I see at any price is able to meet the bar.

The only real difference between lower prices and higher prices, as one wise provider once noted, was willingness to ask for the higher price. I've also noticed that higher priced providers tend to stay in more expensive hotels, etc. -- but this makes little difference in the interaction.

Obviously, at the extremes, there may be differences in volume. But I am not convinced that a lady who charges $800 in LA sees any less volume than a lady who charges $200 in NH; or that a lady who charges $1000 and travels between hot-spot hobby cities is seeing low volumes -- because of the differential in wealth in those areas as well as the difference in cost of living. But even if such differences in volume exist; those cannot be observed or verified and therefore make no qualitative difference on what happens during 1 on 1 time.

Your post reveals that what makes the difference is the quality of the interaction; and the skills a woman needs to have quality interaction are not related to what she charges.

"How much correlation do you see between satisfaction and price paid????? "

There is a strong correlation between price and satisfaction, to a point. That point being the average high price for the area. The better ladies know they are good, and price themselves accordingly.

But, there are also a lot of ladies, especially new ones, that think they are worth more (noise). There are also ladies who go after the non-repeat customer, charge high rates (guy is willing to pay for the novelty), and only care to see a few guys a month. Finally, there are sometimes bargains to be had. Those ladies are few and far between. Much of the bargain nature is driven by chemistry. If you and the lady hit it off, you can have a great time with an inexpensive lady.

Some ladies advertise bargain rates because they need the volume (few dates a day), and could otherwise charge much higher rates if they only saw a few guys a week.

There are also ladies that advertise different prices to hit different markets, particularly porn stars. Some PS ladies will advertise $1-$2k/hr prices on PS sites. But, if you know the local market, you can find her advertising at local rates.

If you do your research, you can generally tell why a lady charges what she does.

Price has more to do with availability and expectations of fulfillment. Its like buying bottled water. Its all water but some brands are cleverly marketed and to a thirsty man  free tap water may taste better than all of it. If you are not thirsty and you find yourself in a supermarket beverage isle reading bottled water labels you might get thirsty and pay for the label that you find the most appealing. So wheres the value?

I see high price ladies because such ladies see higher quality clients than low end girls..frankly I would not see a lady if I knew she just had a tryst with Joe the plumber.

in the 250-300 range and great dates with ladies at 400 or 450.  I base my choices on the performance of the lady not her price point directly.

It seems the younger and higher priced the more they think they are doing the male race a favor and the worse or more mechanical the service. I have seen a wide range of prices. I stay away from the dirt cheap high volume ones, But 225 up and except for surroundings (which sometimes isn't any different) I haven't seen much difference. If a lady wants you to come back she says it with attitude and performance not $. Possibly paying more may get you someone who hasn't seen as many that day but that isn't always true. Greed is a factor. The good thing is that there is a lot of competition out there and with some detective work you can find providers who meet your expectations in price and quality.

So you imagine that if she charges enough you can be assured she did not just see Joe the Plumber? Don't want to rub shoulders with the hoi polloi, or follow his dick?

Seems a little insecure - paying more money so you can be sure you are separated from and above people, but I appreciate your honesty.

Me, I take the opposite approach. I never look at how much I can pay, but how little I can pay and get what I want. And if that means that I am rubbing shoulders with Joe, well he obviously is a man of good taste and a savvy shopper, too.

My answer to the OP is that the correlation varies all over the place. I think one can generally expect more professionalism, a cleaner, safer environment, and a better presentation the more money one spends. But that does not mean I will click with the more expensive provider, nor does it mean that there are not some very professional, very lovely, and smoking hot women at more reasonable prices.

So the short answer is, it depends.

One other thought - yeah Chicago is not cheap, but it does not have to be that expensive either.

If you do a bit of research, you will discover there is a very high correlation between possession of measurable psychopathic traits and how high someone resides on the corporate ladder.

Joe the Plummer is far more likely to be an ethical person and have reservations about giving a lady a disease sans her knowledge than the Executive Vice President of Sales at International Widget Corp.

Just do a search for "Is your boss a psychopath?" and do your research from there.

A lawyer's toilet has backed up and spilled out onto the bathroom floor, and all of his swearing and plunging doesn't seem to be fixing the problem; so his wife has him call the plumber.

Well, it's 10pm and an emergency job, but the plumber comes, snakes out whatever was flushed but shouldn't have been and gets the toilet working again.

He hands the lawyer a bill for $400. The lawyer is apoplectic. "Why, you haven't even been here an hour, I'm a lawyer and even *I* don't charge that much!"

The plumber smiles, shrugs and says "I didn't charge that much back when I was a lawyer either."

This guy is being silly IMHO -- thinking that just by paying a lot he isn't following a plumber, mechanic or whatever other occupation he may find distasteful. For one thing, providers often have civie boyfriends -- and the occupations of those boyfriends can run the gamut. Second, I literally know plumbers, heating technicians and the like earning consistent incomes that exceed those of many white collar professionals. I know a guy who left forensic medicine to be a master mechanic -- he's one of the best there is -- and he is easily in the top 1% of incomes. Lot's of blue collar guys have a lot more money than you'd think.

Come to think of it, one retired provider that I'm friends with, at the time I was seeing her in her provider role, had a boyfriend who was an HVAC tech; and she charged over $500 per visit.  Boy wouldn't THIS guy have been surprised! LOL

Finally, some guys -- such as myself -- are kind of perverse about the whole status thing. My income isn't particularly relevant, but I routinely tell people that I am a "janitor," "farmer" or whatever occupation I think will screw up their status meter. Especially before a couple of years ago, there were plenty of providers who saw me and believed the whole time that I was a semi-employed ranch hand from Texas instead of whatever else I might be. I never broke character in a session, so I'm sure the ladies are still bamboozled. LOL I finally stopped that (mostly) once one provider figured me out.

Either way, this guy is being silly. Funny as hell though!

I am very blue collar, no real education, not even trade school and I am in the top 1% of income earners and I could afford to see almost any provider out there. Joe the plumber was in the top 2% of income earners a few years back. In short that guy may very well be following some scuzzy blue collar guy like Joe or myself. I always get a laugh over the guys who think because they pay more there getting rare or exclusive pussy, because if your paying for it, it isn't rare any it is in no way exclusive even at $1000+ an hour.

Well, I think price has a few factors.

There's the obvious - looks, intellect, services.
For me it's also my availability, time I spend keeping myself a 10, my range of wardrobe (and tendency to love the flash and fantasy of my encounters), my skill range thanks to my personal interests (tantra, bdsm, medical training), toys and tech available, my personal location and well, my kinky courtesan intuition.

It's a difficult question to answer. One that will undoubtedly be sussed out through lots of long, hard, arduous research ;)
