We do appreciate the sentiment in your threAD, but.

..personally for me, I have always failed to appreciate the importance of Fathers' Day, and actually to a greater extent that of Mothers' day as well, for we all can agree that the former exists only because of the latter. If there weren't a tradition of Mothers' Day, not too many would give two shits about Fathers' day..

Now, help me understand why you need a day designated to spend quality time with your parents.. Personally, I am super close to both of my parents.. I call them pretty much everyday, and we do things together all the time with our extended families, and sometimes just with my dad... Just sitting at the dinner table, and attentively listen to my mom talk makes her day.. There you go.. That's my Mother's day right there..

Just like I don't need a National Pizza Day to eat a piece of pie, a Doughnut day to eat a doughnut, I still fail to fully grasp what the whole hoopla is all about.. May be the big corporations came together and decided to create this day, so they can sell more crap to us - half of which we don't need anyway, or maybe it's just an easy cop-out, so kids can check off on their yearly obligation to do something nice for their parents.

Weirdos

Lol crazy how guys complain that girls do not post but when one does to try to show love and respect, especially for Fathers Day it's always some weirdo s&%$ involved. Guy or guys want to go out of their way and take time to demean or belittle Fathers Day instead of ignoring the post. if its nothing to you why comment on it lol. Or you do so so others can see and read your gibberish! Maybe that why ladies do not post because even when doing so with good intentions its ALWAYS some weirdo or weirdos that try to make something good into what they are and I'll let you fill in the blank on that. Sad sh*!.

..after smoking a bowl and munching on a bag of cheetos, or is the post just too funny...

"Lady or ladies" should take note that you are more than welcome to post on any board that you have access to. I have been quite friendly with many ladies on this board, and there have been somer really good posters in the past...But you post just an attention grabbing threAD the "asshole or assholes" may call you out on it.

To get to the point of your post, the ladies just moved on.. It's not because we are any more assholes now than we were back in the day. Those ladies back then could hold their own.
