I once had a provider request that I remove my wedding ring at the start of a session. I found the request to be odd, and have never had any other provider request that again. Has anyone else ran across that before?

I have a provider who loves me to wear a wedding ring.  She loves the idea of doing a married guy.

I'm glad to see the ring, that means later on, it'll be less likely that you'll  try to pull a stalker version of Mark Wallburg;  
That's because the wifey will be on warden duty.

I don't feel any kind of way.  It's more of a situation where I understand his needs to be more discreet & carefull.  So I make sure he doesn't leave  with any evidence.  
   
It's a good thing for me (when I do notice the ring) lets me know we both have a life away from the Hobby.  I have Family also (not married) but I do have a big family and relatives to look out for.  So this here is a break away for me too.

I personally find no issue with a client wearing his wedding ring.  I'd prefer he wear it than risk losing it by taking it off while with me.

Each Provider and Client will have their own opinion on this post, I'm certain of that  I personally am more comfortable if the band stays on.  Only certain items (of a clothing nature) are asked during my sessions to be removed.   Please don't get the wrong impressions, I truly appreciate my "single" clients too  However, there is a level of comfort that is automatic for me when I know the client is married and/or in a committed relationship.   The end result for me is that when I'm more comfortable, the "O's" are bigger and the squirting commences

When I was married, I usually would leave my ring in the car. It was a little loose and I didn't want it to come off during the session.  A couple time that I did leave it on I got some questions about being married and my wife at the time.  While I generally don't mind talking about some personal items bringing up my wife, and the lack of sex, didn't help the mood.

I agree. I have had a few providers start asking about being married and why I was seeing a provider. Certainly kills the mood.

But the only provider I know who has a 'thing' about guys taking off their wedding rings as part of her seduction ritual is a VERY beautiful woman based in Minneapolis who travels a lot. I suspect the request is rare.

Losing the ring because he took it off for this particular thing would be a dick move, and I'm undecided on whether it's more respectful to leave on or take off.  Good thing it isn't my call.

...way back years ago I used to take it off.  The ladies would ask if I was married which I thought odd - I finally figured out it was because they didn't want to leave evidence like lipstick, scented lotion, or scratches on my body if I was married.  I thought that was very thoughtful.  Curiously no one ever asked if I had a girlfriend.

Alyson you're spot on with your last comment:  A provider should be the one person in your life who you can be totally honest with.  So true!  There are a couple of girls that I'm especially close to.  And they know more about me than anyone, including my best friends.  Being able to unload and share what's going on inside is just as important to me as the sex.

I don't know why but I've always taken mine off. Don't know why if a lady asks if I'm married I'll tell her it ain't like either of us is looking for anything other than what this hobby is. Hell I've even called the wife while driving a gal out to dinner or a things just carry over for whatever reason. One "friend" used to love to kiss my neck and get me all got and bothered while I was phoning in my I'll be late excuse. She always said she was amazed at how quick and natural I could pull some tall believable story out of thin air. I always told her don't worry I won't lie to ya unless I'm married to ya. (Bet I catch some hell for that one), I frequently have to troubleshoot live electrical circuits so if my ring is stashed in my wallet I just play that card and nothing is ever thought of it.  

Unrelated I'm sure, but when I was married I noticed many more women would hit on me for a FWB kinda thing. I'm guessing it was a similar thing of them feeling safer that I wasn't going to get all stalkernazi on them.

I never tried to hide the fact that I am married, but I have always taken my ring off. My reasons would probably sound stupid and take a long post to explain. What I will say is that I never considered that keeping it on might provide an added comfort level for the gal I am seeing. That is good to know, and I am leaving it on from now on. Good post!

But even if it is taken off prior to meeting, there is usally either a tan line or indent where the ring was before he took it off.  Do you notice those and do they remind you it is P4P too?

een married more years than I was single but have never worn a wedding ring. I worked with moving machinery when first married and didn't wear a ring for safety reasons and just never got in the habit of wearing one..
