The thread below, got me thinking.

If an provider was average-looking (not unattractive but no great beauty either) could you gentlemen say that if she had a great personality and gave great service, you would rank her looks higher? In other words, great service and friendliness would 'enhance' her looks.

Conversely, if an escort was drop dead gorgeous and gave lousy service, would that detract from how you would rate her looks? Who would you rather see, someone who was average to attractive and delivered a great time, or someone who was model perfect arm candy, and gave so-so service?

With the system as set up, appearance = looks and performance = personality + service.

Most guys consider performance more important than looks. But it's great when we can have both :-)

My review will usually reflect both separately. I've seen ladies who are rather average in the looks department, but their personalities are sparkling; I'll rate the former accurately, and mention the latter in the body of the review. Same for the opposite, i.e. the lady's a knockout but her attitude isn't exactly "a shining beacon on the hill." Letting the latter affect one's rating on the former is dishonest, IMHO, and a disservice to other potential clients.

You pose an interesting question since the hobby, by its very nature, tends to compartmentalize sexual attraction from emotional attachment or intellectual connectivity. However, if the hobbyist does his homework, in terms of research and reviews for ladies he is interested in meeting, he will find women who meet his specific criteria and the polarity implicit within your question (i.e. "looks vs. service") becomes irrelevant. However, my brief answer to your question would be that, yes, "great personality and great service" enhance the attractiveness of a provider in much the same way that shared values, mutual interests and a great personality enhance the perceived relationship potential of a woman whom I might otherwise not consider to be drop dead gorgeous. And, yes, as an incurable romantic, I do believe that true and enduring love is predicated first and foremost on true friendship.

To answer your question more thoroughly and on a more personal level, I naturally gravitate toward a very specific type of woman, one who is, most importantly, a quintessential lady and, secondarily, the proverbial "total package," i.e. someone who exemplifies refined elegance, grace, a classic sense of style, both in fashion and personal deportment, and combines genuine sincerity, kindness, intellect and sophistication with conviction, depth and passion, both with respect to life pursuits and in the bedroom. As a connoisseur of feminine pulchritude, I consider breathtaking beauty to be the piece de resistance. As an on-again, off-again bodybuilder, I am most attracted to a lean, symmetrical and athletic female physique.  Of the many desirable qualities outlined above, the three nonnegotiable prerequisites are, for me, beauty, intellect and an athletic physique.

The lady could be drop dead gorgeous(10), but if her attitude sucked ass, she'd be lucky to get a 7 out of me. And in all actuality, that would probably affect her performance score as well, seeing as how if she was a bitch, I'd be sorry I was in the same room with her.

Just me, I guess.

In my opinion, if the service is fantastic, and the Provider is average looking, my opinion of her attractiveness is enhanced -- just as you would find someone in the civie world more attractive is she had a really cool personality.

However, if a drop-dead gorgeous Provider had mediocre service, it wouldn't detract from her looks, but I wouldn't repeat.  And, I would rate her service low.  More importantly, I will pass on a Provider if she is rated 9 or 10 in looks and 6 in service on a consistent basis.

It comes down to Service, I will not repeat if the Service is bad (or becomes bad with familiarity).

For example, you could have a beautiful woman who acts aloof and cold, and never smiles.  That could bring her looks down a notch.

On the other hand, a more plain looking gal's looks go up a notch if she is either smiling all the time or in the throes of a powerful orgasm.

So, there is a connection at least as far as that goes.

pulchritude...really?  I'm up on my Latin, but just say Beauty.  Pulchritude is very antediluvian.

Yes, looks matter but personality & service are more important. It's great to have all three and so far I have been fortunate that all the providers I have seen do. I would not repeat with a provider that was gorgeous but gave lousy service. Personality might over come so so service and prompt me to see her again.

In regard to the rating on my review though, performance would not be effected by looks and vice versa.

I want performance. Appearance is important and will be a major consideration when I actually decide to book, but if she only looks "OK" in my opinion, knowing "beauty is in the eyes of the beholder," my final decision will be on the basis of her performance scores at TER or what we exchange in emails or phone calls from her ad. I booked some very disappointing sessions based on pics alone.

GFE goggles being similar to beer goggles.  service definitely play a role in how attractive a girl is to me, which sadly, can skew the scores one way or another instead of being an impartial judge.  for example i saw one provider who did a spectacular GFE and that upped her score on the looks department. mind you she was still attractive and receives no less then a 7 in looks in her reviews, but the majority are 9's, and thats what i gave her.  now after seeing her a few times, the gfe factor was wearing off and i started to see an 8, and eventually it went and stayed at a 7 in looks.  now that is still good looking in my book, but not how i saw her the first time.

It's rather like rating wine,
"we are all subject to our own personal likes and dislikes,"

Exactly why I don't feel the need to disagree, with some  guys view of model quality.
Performance is also subject to the reviewers history of past performances.
Example: A virgin male would likely be, much more easily impressed by average performance.
By researching reviews,I am able to determine, if my view of beauty, is comparable to theirs.
I have never left a provider, feeling I was ripped off.

Looks are subjective. The difference between a 7 and 8 are slight. So, if she is a great personality and service, that may make a 1 notch difference.

I've seen more than a few 9-10 appearance ratings coupled with a 5-6 for the service for exactly the reason you cite.  That kind of gap immediately gets my attention when I'm scanning a girl's reviews.

interesting :) I figured that much as I do not think I should the looks scores I get, but I figured with the GFE factor, it must make them also have "GFE Goggles" on

lol

...as we are all subject to our own personal likes and dislikes, yet try to give a review with enough objectivity to be useful to others. So if I love a red wine from Burgundy and it has some of that maker's particular stylistic components (such as the much-talked about and somewhat controversial smells of "barnyard," induced by a bacterial presence of brettanomyces), I will make sure to let others know about that particular area.

Having been with a woman who was beautiful (within the generally accepted area of that term) and whose performance lacked enthusiasm, I would definitely score her beauty and make sure that I mentioned the so-so performance. That's whyit pays to do full research and read those reviews. I've had an experience or two (pre-TER) that showed that looks and performance are completely different areas of an escort's overall experience.

I was recently with a new girl. The best looking and best service I have had in many yeras of paying . Turns out she was fired for trying to compromise another client. Damn it is hard to have everything.

Base on my observation, 'not so photogenic' ladies are rated higher on looks if they have stellar performance.

On the other hand,  really beautiful pretty ladies who felt short on attitude and performance could rate lower on the physical looks part.  And that's because ladies who don't perform well losses their sexiness / sex appeal.  Attraction is subjective, and ladies who just 'lie there motionless' is not a sexy thing.
