There are so many sensual pleasures that I associate with summer. They make me smile even when I'm having a really lousy day.
1) The slap, slap, slap of flip-flops
2) The sound of children at a pool, laughing, splashing and shouting "Marco!" "Polo"
3) The sight of young women in sundresses
4) The sound of a screen door slamming
5) An unexpected burst of fireworks in the night sky and that sound that reaches you two seconds later
6) Corn on the cob
7) The scent of suntan lotion
8) The feel of warm sand on feet that have worn shoes for too long
9) The smell of cut grass
10) The sound of an ice cream truck
