Many people are in favor of releasing prisoners because the bio hazard is spreading in jails and stuff.
Not many people are committing crimes right now anyways.
So if you were to get caught doing something not so bad. What are the chances they won't take you to jail?

Somebody has to ask these type of questions.

My assumption is that no cop is setting up a radar trap because: 1) he's got more important things to do and; 2) he doesn't want to handle anyone's license and registration, let alone have them open their window and breathe on him.
So, for example, today I took my very fast car out for an extremely fast gallop along a gorgeous winding road near me. Then back again. Never saw another car, let alone a cop.
I plan on continuing to do this. I know there were a few spectators who were entertained. I know I was.
I am a recidivist.
If anyone doesn't like it....

you say what kind of crime you are considering, but generally speaking, my advice is make it a crime of opportunity on the spur of the moment.  I don't like to plan things in advance because prosecutors have a habit of throwing the word, "premeditated" around the courtroom later, which adds more time to your sentence.  Just as suggestion.

...require someone "to plan things in advance."  All it takes is the time to form the intent, think about the crime and commit the act.  "A crime of opportunity on the spur of the moment" can indeed be premeditated.  Many a criminal has been convicted of premeditated murder if he "planned" the crime for mere seconds.  That's all you need for malice aforethought.

Your stupidity knows no bounds.  It shows itself in whatever subject you choose to pontificate on.  Now go ahead and tell us you were misinformed by your in-house counsel or the many lawyers you have on retainer.

STFU.  Just a suggestion.

you dimwit.  Gawwd, you're stupid.  I read it in a men's magazine and thought it was a good one-liner to share if the opportunity came up.  You are more in need of a blowjob than any white man that ever lived.    Since we KNOW no woman is going get naked with your fat, sweaty, smelly ass, go buy some lotion and take matters into your own hands.  You have no sense of humor because you're so tightly wound.  Get a fucking life.   You are the ultimate and complete loser.  You've been stalking me now for what?  Five or six years?   You can't be me.  Get over it.

The dedicated carpool lanes are virtually empty now, probably because you can't maintain 6 feet of separation inside a car.   I can go 90-120 without coming up behind another car for many miles.  I drive an average of 100 miles a day and there are days I don't see a HIghway Patrol car at all.  Probably for the reasons you stated.   I'm blowing through stop signs and red lights when I see approaching that there are no other cars at or near the intersection.  If its blind, will slow down some until I'm closer.   If this goes on for awhile, we might get used to this, and then get a raft of tickets as soon as things are back to normal.  Its okay, I'll pay them and then mentally "average down" the cost to pennies per day when taking into consideration how much I'm getting away with now.  Lol

(Note to self:  Do not go on a drunken wild car chase spree in NYC unless driving a car worth at least $1 million.)

Cops are on the front line of the pandemic in some ways, and have fairly high rates of infection. Baltimore PD closed down an entire district in SW Baltimore. NYPD has a high absence rate due to Covid. Chicago and Detroit are starting to have problems.

Cops are also not keen to be spit on, coughed on and in general come into contact with anyone who isn't an immediate danger or threat. Traffic stops are down because police don't want to handle your driver's license!

Baltimore and Philly have official policies in place to stop enforcing "minor" offenses, including prostitution; not sure if other jurisdictions have similar policies in effect.

I suspect gathering in a group or going to a beach is more likely to get you unwanted police attention these days.

120 mph? Another wimp in a minivan. Get yourself a fine German turbo sports car and 150 mph is just cruising speed!

Sadly,  the parties over in the Bay Area. Too many of us were opening up our cars including one guy clocked at 117 mph in a Kia!

After a few crashes by fools who can't handle the speed, the CHP is in crackdown mode around here.

You can't post a teaser like that and not tell us what other exotic cars the chink owns.  Just a minor point . . . "chinks" should be "chink's".  The way you used it, its possessive.

The airbags didn't deploy after that first collision? Or the second? He was able to keep driving? I think he can sue Porsche for selling a defective automobile and make them pay for all damage after the first collision.

I was told by a city councilman, that I’d be hard pressed to get a speeding ticket in the city or county. So here in NW Georgia y’alls assumption is fact. and I told the the dealer I didn’t need a turbo, header package on my John Deere! Fuck..... but hey, who coulda seen this shit coming. Right?

It's not the top speed but how fast you get there. It's also about the handling. I have 911 non-turbo and it's a little rocket. Plus it's got the Turbo wheel and tire set with P-Zeros and it sticks like glue. Given the well-paved winding country roads where I live, you don't need to do 120 to have a blast.
I've done more than 180 on a track but driving fast in a straight line is comparatively boring and takes no skill at all.

If you lose your shit when someone says "Chink," better go someplace else. I call GaGa "Wu" and "Chink" all the time and he doesn't lose his shit. He just calls me "Heeb" right back. And he catches no shit for that.
He only catches shit because he's also an idiot.

Did you read my post? I said " cruising speed" on a freeway as we call them out here. My cars get there fast. I never said it took great skill to drive 150 or even 200 on a straight stretch of road. CDL mentioned commuter lanes on the freeway.

I'm a long way from a country road where I can really take em close to the limits in cornering. Regardless: Speed thrills!

I drive an SUV where I rack up the high mileage during the work week, but I have a 50th anniversary C5 (last model with pop-up headlights) and a C7.  I have a C8 ordered and when it comes, I'll sell the C7.  These are my weekend cars, mostly for getting out of town and going on dates.  Like your German cars, they're pussy magnets.   My best run to Vegas so far was an AVERAGE (which takes into account if I actually SEE a cop, I slow down for awhile), speed of 115 according to the onboard computer.  Some stretches were much higher.  I made it all the way  without a piss stop, no small achievement for a guy now over 60.  Lol

Some of the Vegas hotels are still open, and there are a couple of agencies with girls that need work, so I'm thinking about heading up there this coming weekend and see if I can't better the previous 115 mark.

Therefore....

Lots of bang for the buck, so enjoy. But good luck getting one soon (especially now) or without paying a premium. As for the C5 and C7, I'll pass since I find them the two least attractive Corvettes and vastly prefer the looks of the C6. I would love to get hold of a C1 resto mod and may buy one at auction some day.

for the C8.  Its the first time in my life I ever ordered a car without at least driving a dealer demo first.  The C5 is a little curvy for a lot of people, but since I'm mostly hauling women who are also curvy, it all works out.  Lol  The C7 handles much better, though, and has better cup holders.  The C5 has a single cupholder and its a little over an inch deep, so you have to hold onto it when turning a corner with a loaded cup.  That's the most annoying thing about the that car.  With a Porsche, you are also probably a champ at the limbo.  Lol

As for the 911, I guess you haven't been in one lately. With the 991 version, they've actually become fairly large cars. I'm about 6' tall and have no trouble getting in or out. The problem is I never WANT to get out.

Hell, I always thought the 911 was retro. Hey, I'm 60, soon to be 61.

I remember when a guy brought a C7 Z06 to a test track with a bunch of us that had Porsches, Ferraris and Lambos. We could not believe they could make a car that good for around 80k.  Older Vettes I've driven were more like drag racers than sports cars.

The new C8 should be awesome. In recent years Porsche has raised the price to almost Ferrari levels. I'm still staying with Porsche but the new mid engine C8 sounds like a hellava bargain for a car of that type. I still have not seen a C8 on the road. You may be waiting until 2021.
