Was I wrong for this

About a year ago a fellow hobbyist was I cool with, had beef with one of my ATF's over some unrelated issues. My ATF knew this, and wanted to know some information about him. I told her I couldn't tell her out of respect.

One even she offered and I accepted a 30min OTC session, to give her the info she wanted.  After the session I did give her the info. About a two weeks later, he contacted me ready to fight. I have not spoken to him since then. This was just under a year ago.

Was I wrong for giving up his info for a 30min session? He was a cool guy, but I found out her he was stalking another provider, my ATF was friends with at the time. he then started to mess with my ATF.

Me & my ATF have been cool for two years. I never asked her what she did with the his info, but it was enough for him to go UTR for a while.

What exactly is a "eoTHATm"?

Is there some secret variation of EOM language that I'm missing out on?

Oh, that's the latest thing. They think it's cool and funny. It's not, but they think it is. Pitiful.

You must not tell any one else. Ready, it means end of that particular message. :)

YES, You were wrong.

and like the previous poster said, I hope like hell I don't know any of you...

Your story sounds like high school drama which I have zero patience for

just one of life's dilemmas that we all face to one extent or another.

If someone that I have a good relationship was doing something that I would consider annoying to another, but not dangerous, I would butt out and not get involved; but if I thought the person could be dangerous, and I could have prevented a tragedy but didn't, then I would get involved to avoid having that on my conscience.

There's no perfect formula for every situation.  You just have to trust your instincts, and then take what comes from it.

his accepting an OTC session as the price for giving up the info.  Basically, he allowed himself to be bribed.  If he thought the other monger was dangerous he should have given up  the info gratis.

it was a social meeting and no sexual activities took place.

If it was a real hobby session, then that would be a foul on his part.

Actually , you are the reason I let very...very few hobbyist know anything about me.  A little different circumstance but  I had someone give up info [ which was basically false...or at the least very misrepresented]  related to me .  I learned my lesson. Love you guys...but don't trust you won't give up state secrets for a 15 minute quickie !

You gave up fellow hobbyist's info for 30 min of free pussy? That's disgusting. How do you know your ATF was telling you the truth about him stalking her? Of course, the guy was too stupid to give out personal info to a stranger, but that's another subject.

I thought that one of the main reasons to hobby was to steer clear of all that.

Life is much easier when not telling guys any secrets.

My friends don't know I hobby or I won the lottery.

I do not think anyone can legitimately tell you if what you did was right or wrong from a legal perspective, as you have a right to do whatever you want.

At the same time however, I question the wisdom of your choice to get involved in "information 4 play" with the girl.

It only goes to show that people involved in this business can indeed be "bought" if the price is right. And your price is evidently only a 30 minute long session.

In My Humble Opinion, on NEVER tells anyone (outside of these boards) about our little hobby.  You take it to your grave with you...  with a grin on your face.   You never know when a former buddy, best friend, brother or who knows will spill the beans on you.  There are lot's of reasons, drunk, thinks it's funny, revenge...  You have now opened the door to this.  Congradulations.

Now this Other Guy was also dumb because HE also shared HIS information with you.  How'd that work out for him?  Not well.  If he gets a change to scr*w you over, will he take it?

Was a Free Bee worth it?  I don't think so.

If he was actually stalking or prying into a lady's private life, and you knew it...  you'd be right to warn her.  After the first round of extra precautions a stalked provider needs to take, is to ID her stalker & perhaps let her atty contact him with a cease & desist letter (prior to a formal restraining order).   So that info is not necessarily wrong...  but the whole situation was avoidable.  If he was not a threat than you shouldn't have given him up for some Free P*ssy.

In as much as you initially withheld the information...  but gave it up after what amounts to a bribe...  I have to say you were wrong.

A few close TER buddies do know my first name but they have no idea what my real last name is.  It is just too risky letting ones guard down in the hobby especially with guys thinking with their dick and having no integrity or gumption.

Rating out a friend for free pussy and turn against a buddy that has entrusted you with his personal information is not something I'd call 'respectable'.

On the other hand, if you had proof that he was being a dangerous prick to a lady that you are close friends with, it's a different story.

"Loose lips sink ships is an old, yet true saying"  Don't get between peoples drama because nothing positive ever comes from it. Well, maybe your free 30min session but do you think the conflict you've created was worth it?!

If you knew what was going on and you did not call him out on it to get him to stop then got bought out by a freebee that is wrong.  If you did not know what was going on and took a freebee that is still wrong.  I see the way to handle this as
1 tell her you dont want to be invloved. or
2 find out the whole story, contact your duddy and tell him what you know, tell him to stop or you will pass along info.  A freebee never should have figured into it.

she told me almost 8 months in advance that this guy was stalking her, before I sold him out.

I didn't like him like him to begin with, but he knew a lot about this hobby that I didn't know, and where to get hook ups, so I befriended him for those benefits.

Once I found out his information, and no longer needing his help, my ATF offered me the 30min OTC session for it. He was weird anyway, and I longer needed his help, because I learned as much as I needed from him.

Me and my ATF have been cool for two years now. I would have sold him for a 15min quickie.

You didn't like the guy but you needed his expertise and knowledge so you played nice with him to reap the benefits. After you learned the ropes and didn't need him anymore, you sold him out for 30 min of free pussy. On top of that, you didn't seem to have one bit of guilt. I don't even think you were asking for people's opinions in your OP.  If I were the mod, I would flip your alias right now.

I wonder if his life has drama in his life more than normal?

And I will sell it to any woman who wants it for a 30-minute quickee.

Since I don't hobby these days, she won't even have to touch me to get your info.

Were you wrong? OMFG.

Look, let me tell you something. Whatever was going on, I am quite sure you didn't know both sides of the story, especially in a game of "telephone" like you describe. I have no problem with committing a lesser wrong to prevent a greater one, but did you even know the truth? Betraying a confidence on such a flimsy basis is of course wrong.

And IF that info was needed to prevent a greater wrong, you shouldn't have needed a bribe to give it.

Either way you were wrong. Now go say a gazillion Hail Marys and Our Fathers and use the money you saved for the 30 minute freebie to buy a moral compass.

Is it me ? Or do I see men engaging in this boring hobby of gossip otherwise known diahrrhea
of the mouth? Constant talk with no information value.

IE: He said something about you ! But I cannot tell you !

Unstoppable talking. saying alot but saying nothing at all,

IE: Give me a half an hour for free and I will tell you some of what he said about you.

Not to be confused with saying alot by saying nothing at all. meaningless and unstoppable talk.
