Join the club ladies. Every guy here has been stood up. It sucks, doesn't it. When you get stood up, it also costs you money but when a guy gets stood up, he's left with the message that he can't even get pussy when he pays for it.
I posted this on my regional forum but figured its a general topic so...
So I had yet to have so much has a cancelation since entering this profession. The other night I had my first no show. This particular gentlemen...or lack there of... has contacted me several different times but our schedules never seemed to match. Today was his birthday so we made it happen. I went and bought champagne, cupcakes, ect. We were supposed to meet at 8:15. 8:20 comes and I ask if he is close. No response. 8:30 I text "???"... No response. by 9pm I figured to throw in the towel. My first time being stood up. Is this common? I mean I went out of my way to really try and make this a special birthday for him. I just think its so disrespectful. If I am even running a few minutes late I let the other person know. I just can't stand people who don't respect other peoples time. Grrr! Thank god for the guys who are complete gentlemen ... makes me look so much more forward to seeing them when something like this happens.
Have you ever been stood up? By a provider or hobbyist? Have you yourself pulled a no show with no explanation?
by family or friends. Give him 24 hours to contact you. He should appologize & have a good explanation of some "surprise" which he could not excape or contact you.
NCNS happens in this business. It is a shame since you went out of your way to make it a special evening for him. You are a classy lady, do not let this spoil that.
skb
I had a lady I wanted to see (badly) do it twice, but since she never responded to me for a location on the day of the appointment (date and time had previously been confirmed), I never left to go see her.
There is another lady I have seen, and like, who is a bit of a flake. I take her the same way... I don't leave until I hear from her. Minimizes the drama.
NCNS sucks on both sides, but the guys need to not leave until they get a god confirmation/location the same day and not sit around like an ass for an hour waiting. I'm not saying NCNS is OK, but it's not like having your car stolen or something, and some dudes act like it's the end of the world.
A bit different for the ladies as it is an appointment (i.e. $$$) that someone else may have been able to fill.
I don't know about you but my time is important to me and is worth money. I can make $$$ or more during an hour just like the lady. It is an appointment for me as well and it takes time to prepare by making the appointment, getting the necessary cash, screening the lady, making sure someone is watching my son, renting a room, rearranging my work schedule, and getting well groomed. Some of this costs $ as well as time and much of it is done before I leave for the appointment. NCNS are equally bad on both sides. I understand that sometimes NCNS happen because life sometimes steps in on both sides and messes even the best plans up. When they do happen it is up to the offending party to try and make things right. The one time I had to cancel only a little over a hour before a session because my son got sick, I re-booked and payed her 1 1/2 her normal rate with out being asked to do so to make things right as her time is important too. I have never NCNS a provider. If a lady NCNS me I would put her on my DNS list unless she contacts me and apologizes or in some other way tries to make it up to me. My time is every bit as important as anyone else's. And yes it is like having my car stolen as I could replace my car in minutes but my time I can never get back and I lose time with both of them. No a NCNS is not the end of the world and it is forgivable but there must be reason to forgive first. It is no different for the ladies than it is for me. NCNS sucks and not in a good way. NCNS shows a lack of respect and is unacceptable if it can be reasonably avoided. Should a NCNS happen, it should apologized for ASAP and made up for if reasonable for the guilty party to do so. It is what I do and what I expect in return.
Damn girl I totally agree. I do not mind if a client schedules and then either calls back or texts to say they want be able to make it. Life happens, we all have things to do so thats understandable. But shit, make an appt and not call or respond back???? I actually had a conversation with a regular yesterday Ive been seeing for over 2 yrs about this exact same thing because he is one of my friends really bad with calling and not showing up!!!! Guys please understand, just as you want to play with your provider....someone else wants her too. The worst part is, most of the time when someone cancels on me, I also had to cancel seeing someone for them. I dont think its alot to ask to just call or text back and say you want be able to make it. Now dont get me wrong, I have on several occasions, especially thurs-sundays the busiest days for me, had to contact a client back and explain either that I will be running a little late or may not be able to make it. Thankfully Ive had this discussion with all of my friends now and thanks so much guys for being courteous to your providers.

Ugh, sucks. I hear what you are saying. It just bites big time. You have the cash. You are looking forward to the encounter. One, two, three hours go by. No show. Just sucks big time. Ugh!
Ladies, for those of you who go only by verbal description and memory, please invest in a local map of your area for $5. Better yet, learn to use the internet's mapquest. Better yet, invest in a $90 GPS.
I agree with you.........no call no shows are very rude.....but they are part of the business....on both sides.
However, sometimes there are completely legit reasons people don't show. I understand it takes less than 10 seconds to send a text, an email via a smart phone, or even a phone call...but sometimes they honestly forget.
Here is where it gets really fucked up......when it is daysssssssssss later, he is posting, and acting as if nothing has occured.......and has IGNORED your attempts to contact him. That is disrespectful.....why people do THAT is beyond me?
and all the comments here warrent listening to. He may have had some family thing come up but you are certanly owed an explination.
Im in sales and marketing so am very sensitive to NCNS and never make an appointment I am not sure I can keep and try to be on time(so far Ive never been late or had to cancel but I may be obsessive about the issue).
Give the guy a day or so but not more...Hope it works out for you!
sorry to hear you got stood up.....but even more impressed that this was your first time!!!! You're ahead of the game!!! the fact that you took the time to do some things extra shows that you are a very sweet person!!!! I wouldn't have stood you up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
By a hobbyist who hasn't but.....to answer yes ma'am. I figure that the guys that ncns figure they don't know you really & you don't know them so screw it & don't have the consideration someone like you or me would have for others but you can't entirely know a d-bag's mind when you aren't one.
I've never stood someone up doing an outcall.

I've been stood up 5 times in the past 4 months, often driving an hour or longer to see the provider. I was actually suspicious afterwards that the purpose of the "two-call" system might be to allow the provider to double-book and/or to back out at the last minute. Typically, I call or email several hours before to assure that it is still a "go", which then baffles me when I show up at her hotel and call her, sometimes every ten minutes for an hour while sitting in the hotel parking lot, with no answer. I can understand something happening that prevents the meeting from taking place, on both sides of the fence (provider/client), but I can't understand the absence of communication when it happens??? That is the part that is a lack of respect for other people.
