Cialis side effects: Blurred Vision, Headaches

I recently took one initial dose of Cialis just as an experiment.  It worked as anticipated, and within about two hours I was as randy as a 20 year old.  Incredible results.

However, next morning, I awoke to blurred vision in one eye and I began having bad headaches.  The blurred vision lasted a full 24 hours, along with the headaches.  I called my doctor who got me in for an eye exam immediately.

My eyes were fine, no symptoms of the sudden total blindness (NAION blindness) in one eye which some Cialis/Viagra users experience.  My vision loss was temporary, but it scared me sufficiently so that I am not willing to try another dose of Cialis.

The following week, I took a dose of Viagra which gave me the same symptoms, only worse.

Question for everyone is, have you experienced similar side effects to Cialis, and has the vision loss always been temporary for you?  I am thinking of trying Cialis one more time with half a dose.  Has anyone done this with any success?

Any info/feedback will be greatly appreciated.

I'd be glad to PM you but I can't since you used an alias. You can PM me if you like.

I've used Levitra recently with very good results.  Bit of nasal congestion and increased heart rate, but it really keeps me going through 3-4 rounds.  Helps delay the first pop as well.  It's not cheap, but doc gave me a scirp for 20mg and I cut them in quarters and they work fine.

From my research on the net( reliable medical journals), I have found that there have been reports of tranisent visual loss and blurring in very small percentage( less than 1%) of patients who take ED drugs such as Cialis, Viagra or Levitra. Fortunately this is in a very small percentage of patients and completely reversible and is only temporary. It is seen more in patients with other underlying problems such as diabetic retinopathy, severe high cholesterol etc. Needless to say, these patients should not take ED drugs ( from what I have found).

The reason I had researched on that was because once when I had taken a large dose of cialis to experiment, I had transient( lasted 2 hours, with bad headaches) eye pain with no visual changes in one eye. This had happened before I had started hobbying. Neverthless it scared me and I haven't taken any since and luckily not needed it also, but in future, when I am older I might give it a shot again. Hopefully, there are safer alternatives available then.

I would consult a good urologist/eye specialist, if I were you to weigh risks and benefits. Your PCP would most likely just advise you not to take it.

your escort would not want to take,    last thing that an escort wants is a client who has a heart attack ,stroke or any other health incident

I have personal experience, having used Viagra on and off for over a year.  I first used a half dose with my wife, which worked well to keep me hard during the long period it took to enter her because of menopause-related vaginal tenderness.  When I started hobbying again I did not use it initially.  But I was unable to come and then began losing my erection, so I started taking a full dose before a session.  No problem staying hard but still couldn't come. Then a provider I was with told me her experience was that Viagra made it harder to come.  So the next time I didn't take it.  I did go soft a couple of times but the gal I was with was always able to revive me and ultimately brought me to a really intense O.  Does this mean it worked because I had not used Viagra?  Maybe but I doubt it.  I'm not sure how this helps but take it for whatever it's worth.  Considering your experience, I wouldn't go near it.

Cialis gave me a severe back ache....really so severe i thought I would go to the doctor then it began to fade.  Viagra gives me a headache, that is all.  would not take it unless you absolutely have to.  these ladies will NOT be impressed because you can stay up for the entire hour.....they would prefer you didnt.

Personally, I don't care about impressing the ladies, i just want my hour of rock-hard fun.  The issue for me, as i said above, is if I can't come that's no fun either.  So last night I abstained from viagra.  I lost it a couple of times but the wonderful lady was able to coax it back to life and I had one of the most intense orgasms ever.

No persons single experience will help you predict how your body is reacting with these drugs.
Doc

meds you are taking.  Yes, consult your Dr.  No, I'm not a Dr. and I did not stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night or any night in 2010 or 2011.

I have a partial spinal cord injury.  I have tried the ED meds and have settled on V.  I gotr a 3 day back ache from L.  My pcp rx's the V 100 mg & I cut them (taste like crap, the only reason for the coating) & use the smallest possible dose.
If you are having side effects, I suggest working with your pcp & cutting tablets to see if you can get a workable dose.

Low dosage of Levitra made me a little queasy, which I at first did not attribute to a side effect.  Dr. sampled me on the 36 hr. Cialis, fairly immediate flu-like symptoms, including upset digestion, which stopped pretty much 36 hrs. later.

Viagra is even stronger, so I stayed away.  Gave away the dozen or so Cialis that I had left.

so don't think it's possible to generalize.  I'll relate only my experience for what it's worth.  I am in my mid-70s so some natural loss of capacity is to be expected.  This was compounded by radiation for prostate cancer 12 years ago that saved my life but left me with inhibited capacity -- with c, v, or l the result is about the same -- I can achieve close to full erection but seem to lose it and have to finish with HJ.  Problem is, desire is still intense -- just not as often.  Moral of this story, at least for me:  if it's still great, and the intereaction to get there is intense (it is) the journey is well worth the destination despite the decline in performance and capability for multiple positions.  Most providers I know have been great about this, and sometimes as a dividend I can make them really smile.

Viagra made me too hard, even with lower dosage, to the point i thought i was losing sensitivity.

Haven't tried Cialis.

Using Levitra, the only side effect I get is lower back pain.  Other than that, it works great.

I've tried all three, plus Muse, which my urologist suggested and asked that I report back on the effect, if any.  Maybe my case is too far gone, but I have had roughly the same experience with all four-- each one helped to get me semi to advanced erect but not fully, and it didn't last without continued attention.  So, these things helped, but didn't totally reverse the basic disability -- although I concluded that my experiment with Muse was not worth pursuing.  With all four the only side effect is some facial flushing about 45 minutes after taking the pill, (or with Muse, the injection.)  Also, and I interpret this as an indication I still have some natural capacity left, the quality of the erection varies with how turned on I am.  And I can still have morning wood, although not every day.  What a world!

I have taken Levitra, Cialis, Viagra.  I bought all from Canada.  I am not sure the med's quality compares to the one we can buy here.  Cialis and Viagra had a strong side effects lasted me for 36-48 hours of a flu type symptom.   I didn't like it all.     On the other hand, Levitra is better for me as it took only 20 min to feel and much less side effects.
