I think it does have some relevance, but only really influences decisions on the extremes.
I can't imagine I'm going to see a provider only because of her name, however, there could be names that cause me to say "forget that - I'm staying away" (something like, "barebackbitch - never tested, never protected"). Other times I may take a look out of curiousity because I find the name unique or clever.
Crude can have some appeal, depending on my mood and what I'm looking for, but a normal name is never a bad thing. Either way, I'm going to do my research on here to get a sense of what is being offered and what to expect.
On the flipside, I suspect that women will stay away from policeonthestroll, abusivebastard, smellyshithead, chronicfelon, mywifeispsychotic, etc. but they can speak for themselves.

Well, this might sound snobbish, but screen names and e-mail addresses that are very explicit do tend to be a turn off for me, and if I am on the fence about whether to see someone or not, yes, it is likely to be a deal breaker.
Whether it is valid or not, I can't help but deduct a few IQ points when a guy selects something like [email protected] as their e-mail. I always have to wonder if they didn't have the grace to feel a little bit silly typing it in when they created their e-mail account, and if they didn't have the sense to feel silly about it, well, that speaks volumes about their maturity level in my eyes.
I wouldn't say that an e-mail address like that is an automatic deal breaker, but if I'm even a little bit undecided about whether to see a gent, a user name like that is enough to make up my mind.
If your name is likened to a car or a fruit or akin to anything that is commercial, then I frankly am not interested. So, Diamond, Mercedes and the whole litany of stripper names.... get a clue. The only other criteria is that you have to love to fuck... I don't chase the porn stars because I am not looking for a show, I wanna get laid, make a little small talk, be on my way... I will not pay thrice because you have appeared in 300 scenes and do all the many of things that are described in the annals of pornucopia... some like that and they should run to the head of the line. I will not pay because you look like you stepped out of the pages of Vogue or some other rag. I won't pay for your ego... I have no idea of what you do and if we by chance hit it off and I decide to return, you are likely someone who interests me. It's pretty plain. Had never thought about the subject before. I picked my TER moniker (Hockeypuck) because I enjoy ice hockey and added the 77 for good luck.
I avoid ladies with names or emails that are crude or boorish. We all want to fuck, that is why we are here, but do we have to be crude? I want that I'll go see a Street walker.
As for your own handle, something clever, fun or something that shows your personality is always good.
My handle is frequently something the ladies ask about in a session as I am a sensualist and food is just another sensual delight in my like and on rare occaision, the bedroom.
It's best if it's somewhat discreet and somewhat describes the clients she wants and/or her SP personality, but it's a very small influence.

My screen name is random garbage I got out of a random password generator.
I honestly thought this site was a hoax when I first created my account, so I just used some truly meaningless random crap for a handle. Now I use it for all my hobby related logins, so I'm stuck with it. Or I am just to lazy to change.
Providers, please don't hold that against me.
As for what I think of other's handles, as you might guess, I don't really pay much attention.
But, occasionally one catches my eye and incites curiosity. SquirtingGoddess is certainly an enticing handle.
I have yet to base my visits to ladies on their screen names. I look at the pics and descriptions. I don't give a shit what their screen name is, because it is not their real name anyway, 99 percent of the time.
In case anyone is interested, my screen name comes from two of my loves, swimming and Star Trek, swimtrekr.
While I may have looked at a provider's site due to her name, the name has never made me see her.

As a client, I use this alias for all my discussions. Initially I used my handle but got kind of freaky when I realized that googling the handle brought up discussion posts.
I use the same handle log in for all my erotic pursuits... nothing sex orientated... but it had to be something that no one would figure out.
While initially it might get attention, I would view a provider using an explicit "name" as being very unclassy & would be a turn off. Like a meat factory, not what I'm looking for. I don't know if that would keep me away... but is a negative to be overcome. Ultimately, I'd probably skip that one.
I think I prefer a more normal name than say "Candy Cane" or any of the other made up creations. Too many sound like porn star names. What it really comes down to is if they have good ratings and I like their look.
