I've been a subscriber here for about 6 months mainly reading reviews of interest from time to time.  I just discovered this dicussion area, nice resource that I am sure to abuse and love in the coming months.  

My question is regarding the reviews.  I have done my homework and selected two very highly ranked providers and was disappointed in both.  One almost drove me completely out of this hobby, the session was that bad.  She was miserable, desperate and very willing to unload that on me one evening.  It was the last thing that I wanted to be dealing with after shelling out in the neighborhood of $500.  I do like the review system here, especially that someone screens them before posting and the attempt to quantify with the numeric rating.  There still seem to be flaws though.  Just my 2 cents.

Sorry about your bad experiences.  But PLEASE submit reviews for these ladies, to let others know!!  (and you'll also get a free month's membership) If your reviews don't get accepted and Staff won't say why, post a message on the discussion board about it!  We need to all help each other.

The fact that you had TWO bad experiences with highly ranked providers raises the question (not conclusion) that it might be something you're doing.  Can you tell us a little more about how you approached it, and when things went wrong?  You mentioned the first one unloaded on you, what happened with the second?

I've had some limited experiences, but sensational in Canada, prior to finally trying some in the US.  The one with the bigger of the two problems was very young, early 20's.  She got there and immediately started telling me how she hated being in the biz  Was in therapy and her husband had left her and taken their kid, etc.  But it beat living out of a car, what a start.  She had average looks but the session just drug out.  She, more or less, just laid there.  Speaking of drug, I was scanning her for needle tracks, what a waste.  I haven't posted any review of any SP to date here.  No, they haven't been rejected, I just pay for my access.  

I don't think its anything that I am doing.  The other SP was actually acceptable, we got along very well, excellent service, but there were two big problems.  First, she had some fresh scars and told me about a tummy tuck procedure that she had just gone through.  I could live with that, prefer not to, but the other problem was major.  She had an odor that was pungent to say the least.  I like DATY but wouldn't consider it on either of them.  That was the biggest part of the experiences.  Should I have mentioned the "dick cheese" problem?  I've had 7 sessions and 4 have been unbelievable, two mediocre and one, the SP from hell.

You should post reviews even if you aren't really interested in the free membership. If these are unreviewed (or little reviewed) providers, then you'll be adding to the knowledge base of others here. If they have many reviews, but yours is quite different from the others, it may give everyone some insight as to the range of "YMMV" with that person. Now, if the provider has many reviews and yours is very similar, then it's up to you as to whether yours is worth posting. Just my two cents.

to the other reviews already posted. Consistency vs. inconsistency is important to know and this cannot be known if reviews are not posted simply because they are similar to existing reviews. Plus, many of the guys use the reviews of known providers to evaluate the reviewers taste.

Also new reviews -- even if similar to existing reviews -- are useful in evaluating how popular a provider actually is with TER reviewers.

If you review at all I would argue that you should review as often as the rules permit.

Please post the reviews.  The one thing that can be said about information is that there is usually too little of it.
