Use Discretion

I recently had someone call me, whom I have never met, and this person started asking me all kinds of questions. I had company over and found it very difficult to answer the questions the person kept asking. I asked the person to email me, and he ended up hanging up after getting kinda rude with me. For me, if you want to contact me (or anyone else), please USE DISCRETION when you call. Don't bombard the person with questions such questions as what do you; what are your rates; where do you suggest to meet; etc. When you call, the first thing you should ask is "Is this a good time to call?" If the person says no, then call back at another time.

I can not fathom the need to ask such questions as mentioned when so much info is at hand through the TER reviews section. If the caller can't understand that it is a inconvienant time to set arrangements then he is not worthy of your company. I'm no paragon of etiquette but there are some basics that EVERYBODY should know and practice.

When I call, most of the time, I ask "Hi this is Shaye...do you have a minute and can you talk?"

Also, this happens to me all the time..I work during the day and people start loading a ton of questions on me..I can only talk so far..I can't really talk and when I ask if they can call me back.. some are ok with that..others..well that is another question.
