I will admit that I take time off from whore mongering when ever I am in a committed relationship, but I bore easily and rarely do any of those "long term" relationships last very long with me. Mathematically, there IS a mean and standard deviation to both populations (provider and client).  I am sure we won't determine that in this forum, and even then not without significant data collection.  A phrase I learned in my manufacturing career..."the customer doesn't care about the mean, they feel the standard deviation."  On an individual basis we have no idea what the average is, we only know what we experience.  In appliances, I don't care if a washing machine, on average, lasts 14 years.  I only care that mine broke after 2 years and I'm mad as hell.  For me, in the hobby, that translates to a lower number of providers in my target age range (mid 30's+).

Someday when you are older and not exactly wiser,let's just call it "more jaded" you will realize that all sex has a cost.Whether it is worth it or not is subjective of course.

I will agree I like civvie sex, and I would hate to become one of those guys who's only sex comes down to hookers and self abuse. I would feel like such a loser if I were no longer able to get a woman into bed without paying her, but just like lobster, I like it, but I wouldn't necessarily want to have it everyday. I can't imagine being with only one woman for the rest of my life.

BTW you can actually "get to know" a provider if you really want to. I have dated and had LTR's with several hookers over the years and no money was ever exchanged, they were GF's in every meaning of the word. So never say never.

paying for sex or paying the other way, by investing time, money, emotions etc.. And while both have their own rewards, the former, IMO, is less taxing.

Why does sex have to be anything more than just sex? It's great enough without attaching all this bullshit to it.Sure it's better (at least for a time) when you are in love, but as you grow older you will realize that love (at least as far as the sex part of the equation goes) is fleeting as well.

I don't really see any reason for a single person like myself to have to choose. I like both, and as long as I can get hotties the old fashioned way I will play that game as well as the P4P game.

Unfortunately the wheels of time go marching on, and even a guy with my ego has to admit that at some point the only way to get anyone that meets my admittedly high (perhaps even unrealistic) standards will be to pay for it. At that point maybe I will buy a dog for "company" and fuck nothing but hookers. Hopefully that day is a long ways down the road.
