They're just hanging in to the absolute final hour, I suppose. Without that, is BP useful in any other way? I never trusted it anyway.... B&S was an almost certainty, and the risk factor huge.
... that if explicit stuff is not posted, just phone numbers and pictures, on a women-seeking men forum, what can the law do?
There really can be no law against posting a phone number and no law against looking sexy (except in Islamic countries.)
The situation might be different for TER -- which is explicitly a review site for escorts.
My guess is that dating sites will come back with strict restrictions on what can be mentioned ... but appearing is sexual attire will be the key for anyone interested.

No text in subject line only phone number no text or links to email either, no rates, about as vanilla as can be.
These changes are from there being spanked already. Massage ads are still there also.
And the groups that sponsored this law was hoping to take them down first. I think that saying this law would be retroactive is why. Yet that’s not going to happen says the DOJ.
Craigslist removing personals was to get people involved for fighting this law that laughs at the first and 4th amendment.
I doubt this law will survive its first day once fully implemented and enforceable. Not sure how far away that acid test will be, but it will be front page news.
What they did is really fucking smart. Phone number and picture only, with that they may just survive this. I think TER and cityvibe could learn a thing or two from them
Not " too cool", but my attempt at BP was just one let down after another. B&S, misleading service outlines, and the ever present chance at stepping into a big steamy pile of trouble....just render it unviable for me to consider as an option. The B&S was the worst. It was everytime. Think of how nice the picture of say a "Whopper" looks on the menu board. It makes your mouth water and your stomach grumble in hunger. Then you take it out of the bag... and it looks like it was dropped and stepped On! There were other issues I had with that avenue of procurement, which I'm not going to detail here.
I travel a lot and in certain areas TER is very weak and BP offers a better alternative. The key is to use google image or tineye and also googling the phone # will show any TER reviews. Never assume if an ad says “check my TER reviews” that the advertiser has reviews and if she does many of the reviews are bad.
Just guessing, but maybe BP's plan is -- see you in court! They keep doing business as usual, let them sue or raid BP under SESTA, then take the case to the Supreme Court and win. There is still a good chance the courts will strike this law down under the first amendment. BP has nothing to lose by betting it all.
Plus that, is it worth it to them if they do? Lastly, what are the chances this law gets shot down as a violation the 1st Amendment? IMO, it's a big gamble if they do. If they lose in the lower courts, I don't see them pressing on...too costly, and SCOTUS would be unlikely to reverse lower court rulings. Also, like CL, hobby related activity is not BP's primary activity or source of revenue. I do think think they might push it further than most other websites, though, given their parent company's reputation as a leading voice for the elements of society that most others do not like. We'll see.
