I'm unmoderated.  Have been since, I can't remember exactly when, I asked the former mod for unmoderation when it was offered.  All one had to do was request the moderator (Sly at the time) to unmoderate you and it was done.

I think I almost got moderated last year for a stupid post I put up, but a little chastising from Sly and all was good.

was almost kicked off the boards.... but learned some etiquette and try my best to not anger the ter gods.

For the most part, even when my posts are pulled or I am chastised - I deserve it.  After all, it is NOT my board, rather it is Ter's board, and they have a right to set the rules... much as I have a right to set the rules on my board....  And I DON'T have a board so that says something about me!  (Hummm.... maybe they should have a little board over there on the left in the list of groups that would say "Bizzaro's Corner" for my musings....   Jack0 and I could share it! Bwahahahaha!!! with BenDover and FuzzyPhallus!)

yea, we do play in the playground, but we don't own the playground.... It seems very fair to me!

And he has since given me a couple of thumps on the head for some violations of protocol, (i.e. using more than one alias in the same thread type stuff); but otherwise all has been fine.

If you all recall, we were all moderated after TER staff made some changes months ago...

Well, while many were complaining about being moderated under the new staff, I simply followed the instructions they provided and contacted DC (when he was the mod). The instructions were to PM the mod of the board I frequented most often. I posted on the general board a lot, so I PMed DC. Within minutes, I was unmoderated. That was months ago. Thank you.

I've never gotten moderated for any of the stupid posts I've come up with, but I'm reasonable sure that I've come close on more than one occasion.

I'm moderated and don't think there is a particular reason for that, other than that I don't post very often and have never asked to be unmoderated.  Other than a couple of minor gaffes (e.g., an ISO request on a general board), I have always tried to behave like a good TER citizen.  Being moderated hasn't bothered me much since I'm not on here a lot and don't mind if my posts don't go up immediately.

I rarely post much but since my posts don't show up immediately I assume that would make me moderated!

When the new moderation policies went into effect earlier this year, I asked Fuzzy, then the NY mod, to unshackle me.  I was pretty certain he would comply, and I was correct.  His policy was to unmoderate everyone unless they proved to be troublemakers that needed to be punished.  Seems like a reasonable approach to me.

There are definitely advantages to being unmoderated.  By encouraging posting, sometimes what you have to say gets noticed by the ladies.  Have this happen a few times, it may (and for me, has) lead to PM's being exchanged.  That in turn may lead to meeting in person, which for me when it happened was a win/win.  It also proved to be helpful in getting an invite to an M&G in Vegas last year.

Yes, we all do indeed play on the same playground.  And all should be allowed to play, unless you prove you cannot get along with the other folks...

Back in December of 2008 my cousin SantaFollowmeClaus put up a post of the lyrics to the song "SantaFollowmeClaus is cumming to Town'
on 3 or 4 boards and one mod moderated me for a short time as he called it spam.

I have been moderated briefly a time or two, but I know where the line is and do my best to stay on the right side of it.
