There's currently no constituency who gives a sh*t about the problems of sex workers. Not on the left, not on the right, nowhere. Not sure if, or when, that will ever change in the US, but I don't see any positive developments on the horizon. Don't forget, everything even remotely connected with prostitution has a big fat "trafficking" label attached to it.
Libertarians are unfortunately a minority. But, even if they weren't, they'd need to contend with the establishment narrative, pushed by LE, most of the media, and most politicians, that any/all prostitution-related activity equates to trafficking. The true and correct narrative, IMHO, is that legalizing consensual adult sexual activity, including prostitution, is part of an anti-trafficking solution because it would free up LE resources to go after the real bad guys. But I don't see any candidates running on that platform and I'm not holding my breath. I think any (relatively) positive developments will need to come out of court rulings, rather than from any political developments. Any such rulings would be case-specific, of course, but might also work to protect privacy and other constitutional rights.
also endorse the right to be a customer? Johns are targeted by LE just as much as the working girls.
I have been a LIbertarian for nearly 20 years, but I can't bring myself to waste my vote at election time. Perhaps I don't like long commitments. Maybe that's why I'm a good customer for sex workers. Lol
There is a proposed law in Georgia (or maybe just a city law in Atlanta?) with support from a major (nationally recognizable) Georgia politician but I can't find the info right now. I think it's been posted to TER before. . I would think (hope, expect) that NON-Libertarians would favor the opportunity to empower and protect women and create something that they could regulate and even tax. . Liberatarians and Big Gov regulators: "Politics makes strange bedfellows." or "Casual bedfellows can make for some strange politics."

with IMP and how were you able to hijack his TER account to post this? If he loved Libertarian principles, how could he NOT like Trump? But he doesn't. Trump's signed 102 executive orders the first two+ years and the vast majority do away the Obama-era mommy-state overreach that was strangulating industry and our freedoms. IMP is well-documented in his own words as a big-government-running-every-aspect-of-your-life-supporter. You will never convince me he wrote this post. Whoever you are, you should let IMP do his own posting. He's going to be really pissed when he finds out you posted a support of freedom and liberty under HIS handle. I'd hate to be in your shoes. Lol
