As I said, I'm curious as to what the thoughts are out there in the hobby--sphere? How do people rationalize or make the risk determination? Personally, I have never had a problem contracting STDs, partly because I research providers thoroughly and make a determination that they appear to take good care of themselves, their reviews, etc.

I've been hobbying for 60 years.  For the first 30, most girls didn't kiss at all.  When independents came in with the Internet, so did DFK.  Been doing it since then with no issues.  I dunno, a few hundred girls?  Take it for what it's worth.

Instead the common cold, flu , Covid etc which can take you out of work for a couple days or even weeks. If you can take that many days off sure but us ladies usually we don’t have short disability insurance or paid sick days to cover bills. So keep that in mind when you kiss a lady that you could be getting her sick and making her life miserable for weeks. If it is mono it could be months. There are lots of other things I could list off but I’ll stop there.

It’s common cold , flu, Covid etc that can take you out for days or weeks . Ladies usually don’t have paid sick days or short term disability to pay for bills. So keep that in mind when you kiss. You could be wrecking a ladies life for months if you give her mono. No work means no money for us. If you are ok being sick for weeks then sure go ahead but some of us can’t chance it.

As the only active parent & head of my household I can not afford to get sick, or bring illness home to my children that’s the worst.
