I have only had "4 dates" in the past 8 years, one in 2021 as it was someone I have seen many times prior and three in the beginning of 2018. My question is what is considered proper and is fair to both parties? I came back on yesterday and started looking at websites from ladies posting on here as well as looked on Tryst and some personal websites. I also purposely looked up five women I have not seen in over eight years. I would say a good 75% still had pictures up that I am absolutely certain they were using eight years ago. I understand there is a cost to updating pictures, especially professionally done and I am sure some women have not changed much in those years and some may even look better. I was simply surprised at how many pictures that were eight years old or more. So I ask with total respect for our ladies, what is appropriate and fair to everyone?
When I see a woman, I don't ask how old she is, so being 8 years older in of itself doesn't matter. If from 24 to 32 she looks just as good, I don't care so much. That said, this usually is not the reality. I often find she does look older then her pics when they are so dated. There are several providers that I saw 5-6 years ago or more who's pics made them look in the 25-35 range and who were clearly over 40. And, many still have the same pics up, making them likely 45+ now.
In the end, what's more important than their age itself is how fairly the pics represent what they look like.
Hence the "no review" policy many ladies may have....
The sex is one thing, but if it gets out they are heavier or not as young as their pics suggest, that will kill their business if the person is looking for that "type."
Professional photoshoots are expensive, but necessary. Yearly pro shoots at the very least. March 2026 was my last professional photographer shoot. I love candid cell phone photos! I try to post a variety of photos. I create content for my OF and regularly provide unedited photos and videos for my subscribers.
"Still using pictures on her ad from 2018"....Lot can happen---Lost her looks, gained a lot or weight, lost a lot of weight, looks in person like she has been using a lot of drugs or drinking, facial wrinkles, failed breast implants, the list goes on...
A set of recent, well composed and sufficiently lighted selfies are fine and represents the lady better than the glamorized PS AI modified pictures. Even better is to include a short video.
I don’t knock what other providers do, but I find it odd too. I’m in my 20’s and have been in the industry less than 4yrs and also noticed it.
Do they forget clients have eyes? lol using dated pics or lying (by a lot) about your age no longer makes it a fantasy, but rather a catfish. Who wants that title attached to their brand? You risk a client walking out, writing an awful review, or not retaining regulars. Change is normal with time.. it’s ok to accurately present your look and not be everyone’s cup of tea.
I’m the only creative director of my brand. I take and edit all my own photos, manage my social media pages, and built my website. If the provider doesn’t trust anyone else or want to invest in a pro shoot, she could learn to do it herself. It takes time but there’s no excuse to have pics 8+ yrs old.
I do think professional photos are needed for most, as a provider who chooses not to use them could put herself at an unfair disadvantage compared to those who do. . That said, I think updating them every two years is generally sufficient, assuming there havent been any major changes to her appearance, such as a dramatic hairstyle or hair color change, a significant weight change, or anything else that would noticeably alter her look. . Selfies can more than adequately fill the gaps between professional shoots. However, going eight years or more without updated photos is a major red flag and can approach a catfish sitch if the woman is virtually unrecognizble in person. . Ultimately, my bottom line is, can the woman present herself in person reasonably close to how she portrays herself online? That is the real test, regardless of the age of her photos.
