So I woke up this morning (wife and kids went to a festival) had breakfast, checked my bank account (we shop @ Home Depot), checked the Twitter feed of our babysitter then jumped on TER for my usual quick check (anal and swallows).

I take a look at a Provider in NYC (2nd or 3rd on the list) and this chick has 4 pages of 10/10 (well there was one 9/10).

How the fuck does this happen?  There is no fucking way humanly possible.  

If 10 random people go to a restaurant - Are all 10 people going to give the restaurant a score of 10/10.  No fucking way.

Now I may have trip to NYC in the winter.  Here is a tip for that Provider.  

No fucking way I will spend my $$$ with you.  You are clearly "gaming" the system and I suspect that you are as bad as the cash/dash girls on backpage.

I can give you a few reasons.  

I once had a top 10 provider recruit me for a double, when my persona was 'new'. This was about 1 year ago.

She would not be 'where she was' without him. He wanted to see me, but only for 'xxx'. 'Help' with my business was promised as a condition of agreeing to terms. I refused to even meet said gent for coffee (they asked for that too...barring an actual session, he just wanted an opportunity to meet with me to discuss 'business'). I cited my 'other job' and 'obligations' etc.

But I did ask for his email. Turns out, I remembered him. He'd contacted me a few years ago and had not wanted to provide any screening info to me. I'd noticed that he had about 20 reviews on his handle, and had wondered at the time...who actually SEES men like this?

There's also another banned reviewer famous for actually getting free sessions in return for shills/10s. Anybody who's anybody in NYC has heard of him.  

There are clients who will negotiate 10/10's for BBFS or heavily discounted (or free) sessions with girl...pretty much explicitly. One of them is on the board as well and pretty much universally known and reviled. But there are a lot of other guys who are unknown to even the savviest hobbyist, who just took advantage of how much power a reviewer's handle gives them in one (or a few) particular instance(s). It's the kind of thing that's sort of like the 'gentleman's agreements' of old. 'Hey, I will write you a GREAT review. And how about you stay over my place tonight and we wake up to 'breakfast'? And I promise I'm clean and/or won't hurt you, we're so cool w/each other, let's do [xxx]'

NYC is a very competitive and corrupt market. But in my experience, there are girls who do quite well, acting sensibly, maintaining a base of regulars, and staying out of the fray

I am not a fan of marriage but it take two to make it work and two to fuck it up. So you are part of the demise.

Can you imagine how ladies' composite scores would change if guys could only read reviews WITHOUT seeing numerical scores of others before a date and rating for himself? - thus, no "peer pressure" to give the same kind of score as others?

Of course, if you liked the lady and might want to repeat with her, then you also have to "weigh the cost" of this honesty, even if you are just a notch lower than others in your score of her.

Ridgetucky, I've noted the same issue recently after an extended absence from the hobby.  Here is my strategy for wading through what are clearly unhelpful numerical rankings:

- Look for multiple reviews over a minimum of 6 months
- Look for reviewers with good reputations and moderate activity levels
- Forget the numbers -- look at their pics and read the review details.  I group into 3 broad categories -- truly outstanding looks and performance; good looks and performance; and an "avoid" group.
