Since my computer needs repairs I've been phone typing... And between clumsy fingers, a screen too small to see my entire post to proof and the sometimes confusing auto corrections of the phone itself... My posts can be a bit mangled. If it's really bad I go in and edit but if it is a one word error it seems simpler to let it slide.

Poll time -
Is it more obnoxious to see posts with typos, or to see posts that appear and quickly disappear into the approval cue when constant edits are needed?

I hate to come across as illiterate and I also hate to have a reputation for editing all my posts. .

Opinions?

Your posts, regardless of such trivia, are always of value.

Sometime edting confuses a thread, when a point had been and all of sudden, you see a new post but it was really a modified post.  Crazy but at work, I post with my blackberry and its better because it gives me an option of words I am spelling and I scroll to it.  I make more mistakes when I type on my computer because I have to spell then  LOL

It just becomes an issue when someone fails at any attempt to use punctuation and capitalization.

Instead my my phone will pick the word it thinks I'm typing and automatically substitutes that unless I tell it not to...

I can type nearley 70wpm with minimal errors but on the phone I may as well be back in grade school learning to write English with a big fat crayon...

my contention is, if you are posting to be read, it is better to get the post out there as quickly as possible....

I personally think you should have used the angry red-faced emoticon.  That always throws the people that don't catch the irony.

are OK.  What is obnoxious are the ALL CAP posts and those posts where a lot of other characters are imbeded between letters.  

FWIW, I have never looked at a post and said, "I wish he/she wouldn't keep changing their mind and modifying the post".
