Does anybody have any advice on how to deal with the MANY fake photos in the providers' ads? I am getting so tired of looking at pictures of providers whom I think I want to meet because their photos appeal to me, and then when I meet them they are obviously completely different people than in their photos. I have found that even photos which are marked "verified" by the site operator are often used by other providers; for example, where 3 or 4 girls are sharing the same incall address and they place one ad with one picture and one phone number and one fake name, when you call the number you book with whichever girl answers the phone and when you arrive for the session it's clearly not the one in the photo. Any way to avoid this "scam"?

I think most seasoned hobbyists here would ask as well WTF.... are you calling apartment girls, with one picture and one ad with a fake name? You called the number and booked with whomever answered the phone. You get there and low and behold it's not the girl in the photo.
"Any way to avoid this 'scam'" WTF dude, try doing some homework, read reviews here on TER, where the likelihood of the above happening is reduced many many times over.
Oh, and quit calling stupid ass ads like that in the future, that's how you avoid 'scams' like that. Geesh
Why are you even here? Clearly you are not taking advantage of the most important tool that TER has to offer-the reviews!
As long as you look for your dates on CL and BP you will be disappointed often and in potential dancer of scamming or winding up in a sting...Trust me, fake photographs are the least of your worries.

maybe you should go to e.harmony.com instead. Your post listed the obvious "pitfalls" of hobbying. As said above, research will prevent you from falling into those traps. If you don't wanna do that, take your complaints to the Better Business Bureau or Judge Judy--------

I was surprised when I first started, at how often fake or stolen photos are posted. While I can appreciate why, it's entirely your choice as to how to handle it.
If I were in your shoes, I'd simply ask the girl to take a photo from her cell phone, or email a 'natural' photo. Be polite about it; don't rant about fake photos, don't even question that she isn't who she says she is. Something like "So before I see you, I'd like you to send me a photo of yourself from your phone, or a couple of natural photos that show your face." If she says no, or complains of technical issues sending it, I'd move on.
I don't want to sound rude, but it sounds like you're complaining that a back ally shop has stacks of 50" flat screen TV boxes that say Sony on it for half the going rate, and you're complaining that you got home, opened it up, and saw they're 20" monitors with a 'Soeny' sticker slapped on it. For good or bad, you get what you pay for.

When I search Reviews, I always select "yes" on the "real" photos and "accurate" photos options. They aren't always 100% accurate, but it screens out the really bad fakes.
One problem with sending a picture from the phone is that he still doesn't know if its a real photo or just another pic stored on the phone to perpetuate the scam ... unless it starts getting all game-like: "Now, send another one holding up todays newspaper headlines and include this captcha phrase so I know it's really you."
If you get to the apartment and it's not the girl in the pic, JUST LEAVE. Don't reward the B&S places with your patronage.
To be honest, it's not so much a question of if the phone picture she sends is accurate, but rather her response being appropriate. An agency is more likely to try to avoid the hassle, a girl using fake photos is likely to send you the same photo you've already seen, or complain she's having phone problems, and a legit girl is likely to say "sure, I can do that" and follow through. It's worth it to me, to spend 90 seconds to snap a quick camera pic to gain the trust of a new client. The thing about a cameraphone pic, is that many fake photos have their faces blurred out. If a guy shows up, and the face doesn't match, it's much easier to complain it was a bait and switch. If a girl is willing to lie about her photos being fake, what else is she lying about?
In the end, it might be frustrating but an 800 girl with model quality photos isn't going to work for 150, any more than an 800 consultant or surgeon isn't going to work for 150.

You joined TER, use it! It's not the fake pics that are really dumb, it's the suckers who buy into them!
When you arrive & see it's not the girl pictured, you have a decision: stay OR leave. Most decide to stay, for whatever reason. TER reviews are a resource but many of us like the sense of adventure in discovering unreviewed/new/fresh talent however the risk of disappointment is greater.
1. Send her away and tell her why. I have done that several times. Eventually, it will not be worth their while to do this.
2. Post on the boards. It's a perfect venue.
3. If you do go through with the session, write an appropriate review. Guys will read this and take heed.
Here is what I've learned in the short time I've been around here:
1) If it looks too good to be true, it probably is. If she is hotter than the premium escorts charging $500+/hour and she is only charging $200, well, then it's probably not the girl in the pics. Truly hot girls tend to charge a lot and have fancy annoying websites with flash menus. If it looks like she stole the picture from a porn website or model's portfolio, she probably did.
2) Use tineye! It doesn't often work but when it does you know for sure that the picture is fake. It takes like 30 seconds to check and it will save you a lot of time.
3) Do google searches on her phone number (and name if it is unusual enough). If her number appears in many ads with pics of different girls then it is probably an agency and you don't know what you are going to get. Do a search on her phone number here too.
4) Call her up and ask her to send you a pic. If the girl is who she says she is, she is usually willing to take a pic with her cell phone and send it to you.
5) After a while you'll get better at telling whose pics are real or not. Most pics on sites like backpage are not. More pics on agency's sites and escort's personal sites are real (or at least more accurate).
6) Finally, use this site! Read reviews, see if the reviewer said the girl was as advertised and stick to those girls.
I had that experience once. It was a bait and switch. However, I stayed because the girl looked 19 and fresh and still had tight tits, although nowhere as curvy as advertised. she was clearly inexperienced, but rode me CG. I didn't mind too much her appearance - it was her performance that was no good at all.
