Maybe I missed this earlier - but anyone know what "treehousepark.com" is all about?  Looks like a mirror site for TER.

the servers run much faster over there! LOL

--well if it is a sister site, at least it has an addy that doesn't throw up an automatic red flag if someone comes across it in your history cache

Log in and they capture userid/password. Pretty common, actually.

I don't know for sure, but I would like to offer the following bits of information until something concrete is confirmed:

1. In the disclaimer on TER's main page (where you have to agree or disagree to get in), the bottom paragraph of the page includes the words "No portion of the site may be copied, reproduced, downloaded, transmitted or otherwise used without the prior written consent of Treehouse Park, S.A." Therefore, Treehouse Park is TER's parent company.

2. The whois entry for TER includes actual contact information and does list Treehouse Park SA. The whois entry for treehousepark.com is anonymized, which seems really strange as to why they have different registering information.

If you're paying attention...

Treehouse Park is the nom de plume of TER or perhaps the corporate name Staff uses for his business.

If you pay by credit card I suggest that this will be the billing name that will appear on your bill.

Treehouse Park is the business name that owns TER, look at the copyright notice at the bottom. To check that it's not phishing, type garbage instead of your login and password. A phishing site would let you in anyway - they have no way to detect they are correct.

LOL better make sure you don't accidentally sign into that site using your username and password for TER.

Nothing to worry about....

Do a whois on TheEroticReview.com

Registrant:
Treehouse Park, S.A.
  ATTN: THEEROTICREVIEW.COM
  c/o Network Solutions
  P.O. Box 447
  Herndon, VA.  20172-0447

etc etc etc

Domain servers in listed order:

NS1.TREEHOUSEPARK.COM        80.239.202.10
NS2.TREEHOUSEPARK.COM        195.85.135.10

I don't recall the domain resolving to the TER site as well, but things change....

If memory serves, TreeHousePark is the name of the company that TER goes by in the U.S.

In any even, they appear to be the same site.  If you ping for their IP Address they are the same IP.    It's not unusual for multiple domain addresses to point to the same site.

No, I still think it sets off a red flag.  When you visit treehousepark.com, the title bar still says "TheEroticReview.com".  If you're familiar with web development, this comes from the title tag in the HTML source.  So this shows that you're connecting to the same web site, only through a different address; perhaps it's on a mirror server.  Now, when using bookmarks (or favorites), some browsers use the title tag for the name of the bookmark, although you can change it.

People will set up other domains and buy expired domains to get traffic to their site. Here are some others that go to this site.
