Traveling Providers

I check some providers tour schedules and it seems their schedule is worse than some rock stars. My question is, how do they have a homelife if they are in a new city every 3rd day? Are they flying between cities? Isn't this lifestyle very pricy because no doubt, they are spending $100-$200 for a hotel and probably $200-$900 for plan tix. Doesn't there entire existence then revolve around this biz...how can they go to school, run other biz, have a boyfriend, date or maintain any sense of regularity? How do they screen their clients? Take anyone that calls and sounds nice? You can't call a guy's work if you from out of town and doing short notice. When I have traveled in the past, getting people to send deposits is often difficult but for me, required because #1 it's a good way of screening and staying safe #2 know you'll make your expenses and won't end up in the red.

Would appreciate feedback from ladies and gents. Gents, when you see a traveling lady, does she always ask you for deposit or no? How does she screen you?

I just show them my "It's Great to Be Lustman" tatoo.

But seriously Heather, I will be seeing my first traveling lady in 3 weeks and I guess the fact that we have corresponded for so long (3+ months) has been a screening of its own.

Now when I make the "Lustman Does North America" tour this Spring I will let you know about what screening and deposit practices I run into...

Later Doll!

In the past year, I've seen six touring ladies, had one cancel my appointment and return home in the middle of her tour due to some family problems, and had three cancel their tours altogether. Only two of them required deposits. All but two wanted a work number and/or reference for screening. The two who didn't, I asked what screening info they wanted, but they never asked for any. They just gave me appointments.

THe answer is that the traveling lifestyle is not for everyone. Most of the traveling women I know tend to do a few days away then go home and back and forth like that. They also tend to work much of it out in advance by having one client in the city they are going to who hosts their trip and that helps defray costs.

But it is not the lifestyle for many. If you want to try it, you should talk to some of the ones who are very successful at it. Since you now seem to be Vegas-based, a woman who can tell you how it really works is Veronica Redd. She did it as an independent.

Also, separately be aware that there is a circuit of cities where some women go, but they are moving from agency to agency and don't really have expenses except plane tickets. Different thing altogether.  Hope it helps.

These are all very good questions.  I do not change cities every three days but I do travel quiet abit, about 2x a month on average.

I try to have as much as possible pre booked before I get to a city.  And, yes, deposits are required.  It is expensive but the end resulting profit margin is well worth it....I love to travel but I am a business woman, too.  ~wink~

Touring is alot...no, let me say that again...ALOT of work.  When I am in Dallas (home) I only see maybe 3 new people a week...everyone else is repeat or regular guests to my place....so I do not have to do too much promoting with home time.  I have an assistant who helps part time but since I answer all of my mail myself I am online quiet a few hours a day (on and off) keeping up with mail, ads, updating website, screening, etc.

I do not have children and I am single.  I do not have another job.  I am finsihed with school (for now with 2 degrees and a teaching certification).  I am working on a novel a little bit at a time.  I have many hobbies and outside activites.  I just learn to take advantage of my "at home" time and work my bottom off when I am "on the road"

I would not change a thing.  I am still young.  I have my health and a great relationship with family and friends.  My travels and career choice are part of who I have grown to be...I have an open/broad mind and continue to learn more about people and places as I go.
