It seems like clients in my area that take interest in me don’t care to drive more than 10 minutes and I’m not understanding the disconnect.

Because of where I live, there isn't much action going on, so weekly I drive 2 1/2 hours to Tampa for my fun.  I have driven as far as Atlanta (6 hours), Destin (5 hours) and frequently to Sarasota (3 hours).

If I am I am in the area for travel/business is how I do it. 30 min is nothing to me.

I think I saw that you are in DC?  I guess it could be your prospective clients are a) city dwellers, too, and are used to having everything in close proximity, or b) are on business and can't find/make time for a road trip.

For the people from the suburbs, especially outside DC, we're sort of used to having to drive... and around here, a 10 mile drive can easily be over 30+ minutes, so drive time is sort of baked in to our expectations.

I’m in LA, so it takes me 5 minutes to drive 100 feet at times. Thankfully, my city also has lots of options. I try to keep it at 30 minutes or under, but have gone up to 45 minutes.

It just means that they have better options closer to them.
I will only reach out to a new provider if she is offering something better or different than what I already have.

Maybe not even that, and that distance is only on rare occasion. I've never had a regular (more than 3-4 sessions) that was more than a 20 minute drive.
Traffic sucks, every mile takes more contingency planning and more time away from work, home, or whatever.

When it comes to tolerable driving time, there are 10-minute girls, 30-minute girls, one-hour girls, and no-limit girls.  All providers are not the same in myriad ways, even though the customers may seem the same.

In LA, distance is deceiving. It can take an hour to go 12 miles in this city. For me, I will only consider providers I know are within a 30-minute driving window. For special occasions, I'm happy to pay for a hotel room and the lady's outcall rate. Long gone are the days when I would drive an hour or more to get laid.

Obviously, I speak for the Northern VA area and one person said it already, some days to go 10 miles it could take 30 min.  Case and point, if say, you work in Fairfax and drive to Tysons (Roughly 11 miiles) on 66 could take forever, at least 25 min or pay in the ezpass lane for $10-15 and get there in 20 mins.  What if you have to go a little further, into DC could be an hour + with traffic.  Most, and I speak for me, but in the area where I work and play it is much simpler to stay in this area, if I am leaving the office over lunch to play then my commute with play time then back is 15 min both ways or so to commute then 1 hour or so to play.  If you are doing this after hours etc, then most may not care.  I do think it is more a matter of convenience IMHO, but I am sure others will have their reasons also.

I've heard that complaint from other providers. Some guys are pretty unreasonable about driving distance and don't want to spend more than 15 minutes in the car.

In DC it seems like people make a big deal about 30 or 40 minute drives. I prefer to see providers in either the Tyson's area or BWI. For me both are about 40 minute drives which is not a big deal to me. I'd rather do that than deal with hassles in DC.
