I concur with London and DDD Babe.  These women have to have options and alternatives to sex work like a job of some sort that can pay enough for them to be able to provide for themselves and/or children.  So, they would need access to food, housing, medical care while they are training for a regular job.  

The thing with sex workers anonymous that bugs me is that they seem to think we are addicted to being a sex worker.  I mean I do know of some nymphs in the business, but very few are actually addicted to sex work.  I think it's more like an addiction or a dependence on the money which is the issue that no one seems to want to tackle.  I would honestly like to see women have viable economic alternatives in their lives so that if they get into sex work, they are truly and willingly making that choice and not because it's the only job they can get that will get them enough money to survive on.  In other words, it shouldn't be the only alternative to low paying, menial jobs.

I've had minimum wage type jobs when I was going to college, and I don't think people have a real appreciation for how taxing on your spirit those jobs really are.  What does go on in these jobs can be horrendous.  I've seen and been on the end of abuse from customers.  I've seen co-workers get into fist fights with each other.  I've seen people having to live our of their cars or with at least 3 or 4 roommates who are completed disorderly and out of control.  I would say that after a couple of years, you can get promoted to assistant manager and then manager.  But, it is a slow painful process, and there aren't too many people who want to deal with it in general and not just sex workers.
