Judging by the amount of touting that goes on on these boards, I'd say about 30 mins!

Realistically by the next morning for me. Girls usually have about eight phones with the ability to contact any one any where. They just have to find the time to drag themselves away from Face Book!

Guys how long are you willing to wait for a reply from a provider? You made your initial contact. Given whatever info she required. How long do you wait for a provider to 'grant' you permission to see her? IMO DAYS is simply Bullshit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and they wonder why we send out multiple inquiries.

And when they replied I still saw them and was glad I did. They were busy with whatever, and in the mean time I saw other providers. It's annoying, but it is what it is.

"...and they wonder why we send out multiple inquiries." How would they even know. I've heard complaints by providers about double booking. That's not the same as multiple inquires.

Maybe your request went into her spam folder (I don't know how many times someone I emailed to verify a gentlemen and my email ends up in their spam folder and they don't check until it's too late which it happen to me too), she's just that damn busy to check or respond or she just don't want to see you and if this the case then she should let you know in a nice professional way instead ignoring you.

Sweeti, Hope this help

As Always Be and Play Safe;)

Providers get a lot of mail and most of it could end up in junk mail. If junk mail is turned on, it is the providers responsibility. Why would the provider expecting emails from prospective clients have junk filter turned on?

Because so many providers have their email addresses in plaintext right on their website, or even a "mailto" link.

There are web crawlers used to harvest email addresses for spammers that look for these.

Next thing you know, you are getting hundreds if not thousands of spam emails daily; to such a level that if you don't filter it, it becomes useless.

There are, of course, alternatives to plaintext and mailto links. Many forms don't provide a harvestable address, or the address can simply be posted as a graphic.

But once that address has been harvested ... oh boy, what a mess. Spam filters become necessary.

I blame this problem on web designers failing to properly inform and educate their customers.

But -- yes, dang it, if someone is going to be in BUSINESS, they should be monitoring their junk folders!

Three to four days is my limit, but I tend to plan my playtime well in advance, so it's not like I'm looking for something this afternoon. If I don't hear back within the first day or so, I'll send a follow-up, to ask if she got my request. By the third or fourth day, I'll be asking someone else, having decided that she doesn't want to see me.

I am willing to wait for two or three days before I book the time with someone else. If she gets back to me after that I tell her outright that I now have other plans but would love to see her another time if she will hang on to my "prescreening".

Guys need to realize several things on this topic:

If you do not send her everything she needs to screen you, it will take longer before you hear back

If she does not want to see you or cannot accomodate your request for any reason, many providers will simply not respond. This may on the surface seem "rude" but it is in the interest of their safety. Too many guys pout and throw tantrums when they don't get what they want. It is a waste of her time to indulge them and may result in becoming involved in an escalating argument.....

This is a very simple game.

decide what you are willing to offer for screening

include all of it with your first contact along with specific date / time requests (main and at least one alternate)

If you don't hear back, move on. Don't take  it personally.

You CANNOT afford to get you ego involved in the hobby. And there's lotsa pretty fish in the sea.....

It is so much easier for us ladies when the gentleman has provided screening info. The emails "can I see you" or "are you available?" and not provide any other info is a surefire way to not get a response.

Damn, I wish I had read your post before I did.  ;)

“Hi Sexy!,

You’re hot lookin’.  I want to meet you and rip off your clothes.  I’m gonna be free tonight sometime after 6 PM.  I need you to block the whole night because I don’t know what time my softball game will be done but you shouldn’t have to wait by the phone more than an hour or two.  Make sure you stay near it because I hate to be kept waiting.  I’ll call you as soon as we start out last at bat.  You can pick me up at the ball field, can’t you?  Sorry, but I haven’t gotten my license back after my last DWI.

I figure we can go to your place (you have one, don’t you?).  I know your rate is $300/hr but since I never take more than 15 min that means $75, right?  Don’t worry, I tip good so I’ll add whatever I have left after I buy my round of beers at the game.  Cool thing about beer is I can use the last couple swallows to rinse off my dick so you won’t get too much dust in your mouth for the BBBJ I expect (see, I’m one of those considerate kind of guys, you’ll really like me).

I’d send you my references but Sally isn’t taking my phone calls since last time I saw her.  She’s pissed just because I tried to slip off the cover when she wasn’t looking.  I know you wouldn’t be such a prude.  I can pass the phone to Jack when I call and he’ll tell you I’m an OK dude.  He’s seem a bunch of women so he should be as good as two refs, right?  If you really need a second I guess I can find another guy on the team who will still be sober enough to talk with you after Fred.

So good, we have a deal!  I’ll call you tonight and tell you what time to pick me up.

Softball Guy

PS:  Jack wants to know can he have the 45 min I don’t use."

The provider was out of town you never know.I myself if a gentleman contacts me & provides necessary screening info I always get back to the gentleman within the day.I might not be able to get in touch w/references right away I will let the gentleman know after screening that I can accept the appointment or not.I am prompt & I had a gentleman because I couldn't verify his ref & screen until 5 hrs from when he initially contacted me he had already set something up w/another girl.Multiple inquires sometimes don't give the initial lady time to respond.

"Guys how long are you willing to wait for a reply from a provider? IMO DAYS is simply Bullshit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Do you think the World stops spinning when you make your wishes known? Days is certainly  reasonable, considering they have to make contact with your references, and wait for a reply. If I'm feeling unreasonably impatient and demanding when I wake up in the morning, I jack off to relax.Try it sometimes.

If I don't receive a response, 2 days later I send a follow up email, making sure the original was received or didn't end up in spam

If I STILL don't hear back, I move on.....assuming that the SP is no interested in meeting me....

Why stress it ?

So many beautiful ladies out there, no need to get fixated on one that didnt respond to your email ?

For same day appointments, ~ 30 minutes.

Appointments next day, 4 to 5 hours. My free time is mostly unpredictable and I am also a guy who doesn't wait more than 30 minutes in restaurant for food either. I move on.

There is nothing in this world I have to have, none.

If I plan out in advance, I will send out a message 7-10 day in advance.  If I don't receive a reply back in 48 hours, I send out a message to my second choice.
It is rare for me to have to go with the second choice.
If it's a day before or less, then I will wait only a few hours.  If she can't get back to me in a few hours, she most likely is not going to be available.
But I try to plan farther ahead than this.

and yank it and email someone else!

LMAO!

I crack myself  up!  he he

Most providers do have other parts of their lives.  Family, day job, etc.  Those often intrude on being able to read much less respond to your e-mail (or call).

Let's lay out a reasonable time line:  you send out an e-mail 10 AM on Monday.

--Provider works an 8-5 day job where her computer is "monitored" by her boss.  I assume you don't want her boss to read your e-mail so she protects your privacy by waiting until she returns home.

--Fixes dinner for two kids and while they are eating she checkes her e-mails.  It's now 7 PM.

--Sends out queries on your two references.  It's now 7:30 PM.

--Ref #1 is on an overnight date with a client and did the "proper" thing and didn't check her phone or e-mail until her date was over.  You would probably like the same courtesy.  She leaves her date's hotel and gets home 10 AM on Tuesday.  She has 25 e-mails but fortunately for you she sees the Ref check and sends an OK on you at 10:45 AM Tuesday.

--Ref #2 does this part time and her real job had two people call in sick so she's pulling a double shift at the hospital where she works as a nurse's aid.  Too bad for you she doesn't get off duty until 7 AM Wed.  Been up 30 + hrs now and gets home to crash.  She decides her e-mail can wait until she gets some sleep.

--The provider you want to see checks her e-mail Tuesday night.  One OK from Ref #1, nothing yet from Ref #2.  She checks again at midnight, no change, she goes to bed.

--Wed AM your intended provider checks her e-mail 6:30 AM before taking kids to school and heading to work.

--2 PM Ref #2 wakes up, checks her e-mail and sends another OK.  You're good to go from that point of view.

--7 PM Wed night original provider comes home, checks e-mail, sees OK #2 and fires off a note to you.

Almost 3 days and all three women did reasonable things to protect your privacy, protect themselves, and take care of their primary responsibilities.  They all responded to their part of the process in an appropriate amount of time.  And this assumes she doesn't have to reschedule any other activity to see you (not talking other sessions, but providers do have dental appointments, school plays, tickets to a baseball game, etc.

We as clients don't like to hear it but we usually ARE lower priority than young children, the reliable day job paycheck, or the cient she is with at the moment.  If we wait until it's crisis time to ask then we are setting ourselves up for disapointment, just like anything else in life.

all the time lines and examples with #1 and #2 etc. etc?

Answer the goddamn OP's question.
How long do you wait?
What's your procedure?
Do you email or call, etc?

Geesh, no wonder all your shit sounds like a mangina on parade.

but I didn't realize I was a hostile witness who is only limited to short answers to complex questions.

The OP said he thought waiting "days" was bullshit.

I said I didn't.

Without some explaination it would just be his unsupported oppinion against mine.  I decided to explain WHY "days" is not always BS.

I went back and reread the OP.  He had ONE question, "how long do you wait".  I think it's reasonable from my post to deduce I consider a few days to be reasonable.  Sorry you didn't follow what I was saying.  If you disagree please explain your POV rather than just claim my post was shit with no justification of explaination.

I must have missed those other two questions, even on a second read.

By the way, I don't see answeres to any of those questions in your post.

because there are plenty of responses without mine jumping in. Besides, I do not need to respond to every single thread that goes up on this board.

You on the other hand do feel compelled to do same.

"If you disagree please explain your POV rather than just claim my post was shit with no justification of explaination."

No thanks, no need to explain my POV. Your post is still "shit". But hey, that's just one persons opinion. Mine!

Carry on "King of all Hobby Knowledge".

Not.

You say you don't reply to all posts but we will never know, will we Mr Which Alias Am I Now.

You gripe I didn't answer the OP's question when I did, but think you're just fine for not answering it because you're "special".

Your opinion counts (whoever you are), but mine doesn't because it differs from yours (or does it).

Your logic truly is beyond my comprehension, which is probably good.

to check up and the the last work freak.

Do us all a favor and don't be the last word freak. Your unbelievable.

You're tired of "this foolish shit"?  Then why did you start it?

You're "done with this"?  Wish I could believe it but "you" could be anyone, couldn't you?  Change aliases again and we'll never know.

Last word?  I don't really care about that but I do have this genetic predilection to respond to bad logic.  I'm not that hard to figure out:  post something non-attacking and I'm much less likely to reply.  Unless it’s an interesting post and then I might.  BUT ISN’T POSTING AND RESPONDING WHAT A BOARD IS SUPPOSED TO BE ABOUT?  Wouldn’t it get quite dull if everyone took your advice and never replied to anything?

I do not pretend to understand the history between you two but Confused, did you not post a few lines up that you were finished with this back and forth?

Looks like you forgot your own advice.

I am generally attentive to my email because it is my preferred method of contact.

However, I work very sporadically.  I may be very intense about scheduling (particularly when I'm touring) for a span of some weeks, and then I may accept one, or two or three appointments a week (especially when I'm at home in Boston where I am supported nearly entirely by my established, long-term clientele).

Because I'm not always "on" in terms of meeting new clients sometimes I neglect their mail or open it and forget it.

I would prefer that I not have their information lurking around in my inbox.  I appreciate the effort of clients who are thorough and send  spreadsheets of references/their hobby history (lol) but its just not required for me.  I'm just not comfortable when a ton of information accompanies an introductory email because in the event that my response is delayed some potential clients jump to conclusions and/or feel slighted and begin sending impatient, annoyed follow-ups.

This isn't an ideal way to begin correspondence; it makes the already sterile verification process even more clinical.

I really like it when a client writes a feeler - a "first-of-all-girl-are-you-even-answering-your-email-and-accepting-appointments".  Nothing special, a name, where he found me/what caught his eye and whether or not he's verifiable ("Hi Ally, I we share a mutual friend and she suggested that I give you a call," or "Hi Ally, I found you on TER and I like your profile.  I have references and a Date-Check ID, let me know if you're interested in talking more".

To me - this sets a level playing field.  He isn't put out by supplying his blood type and social security number to the ghost in the machine without any guarantee that he'll receive a response and it allows me an opportunity to speak to him and get an idea of my potential guest.  Also, I've noticed that little nuances that aren't lost upon me (turnaround time, what time of day mail is sent, tone of communication etc.) aren't lost upon clients either and if I'm given the opportunity to flip more than an email or two back to a client we can really get an idea of each other.

Juarez when I see multiple inquiries I am annoyed.

I would suggest you send out a feeler before supplying all of your information, then perhaps you won't be so angry if you don't receive a response because a provider isn't as attentive as you think she should be (keep in mind that some providers do have obligations/careers/interests outside of providing).

As I was reading this a provider called me up from an email I sent a month ago!

Sort of like finding a $20 in your pocket! (Except, of course, it's more like finding a negative $$$ in your pocket ;o)

I'm thinking of adding a little, nicely worded disclaimer to my messages for same day appointments, something like, If I don't hear from you by X:XX I will assume you are unavailable and try again another time."

Would that sound offensive to any of the ladies?

-tessen

They contact me. Seriously.

When I say I'm going to Vegas on these boards? My nights are booked FAST!

Just the other day, I posted I was going to NC for my brother's wedding. Got PMs wanting to know when and if I wanted a date.

Locally, I call them up and say 'how 'bout next Saturday at 2?' They say 'sure!' and that's that.

Sucks being me sometimes... ;)

My schedule usually rates three ways.

1) I have long term plans (3 to 8 weeks) to travel for vacation but sometimes business.
2) I have shorter term plans to travel in a few days or maybe in a week or two, usually on business.
3) I would like to make plans for this afternoon or tomorrow or maybe the next day.

The original subject line is always to the point, “Appointment Request” or “Appointment Inquiry.” My original email is short and to the point. Easy to read. No idle chit chat. No detailed references but enough information to make sure she knows I’m serious (First name, age, home town, notice that Preferred-411 and Room Service 2000 is available as well as recent provider references.). I usually give a range of dates when possible and also let her know I’m flexible about the time. I usually fill out her web form if she has one and let her know I did so in the email.

Almost always, this method gets a faster first response than one that requests a specific date/time with all my reference material. The response I get is, “Sounds good. Let’s work out the details.”

If no response arrives?

For #1, it depends how much I want to see a particular lady. After 36 to 48 hours I will simply resend that same email with a modified subject line, adding “I hope the first one didn’t get lost.” I’ll give it a couple of more days, then either forget her or wait at least a week and then try again, but usually only once more. Most ladies do not appreciate spam-like email and it will actually get you a rejection. A small minority of providers in some markets are very popular but communicating with them is the exception not the rule.

Also for those trips planned far in advance I am usually trying to setup 2 or 3 encounters. I may send out 4 or 5 inquires and then accept them as the responses come in. Invariably, there is someone that responds a week or two later than the others. A polite, “I’m sorry, but my plans have changed. Maybe next time” is a suitable reply. Always reply.

For #2. Since I usually have less than a week to get things done, maybe only a few days, I generally give more info the first time, like my references and P-411 ID. I still try to keep the date/time as flexible as possible. Here I’ll resend after just 24 hours and also I may make two inquires with the first one to respond gets the business.

For #3. It’s almost always an ATF or trusted agency close to home.

dfwjim123184 reads

I generally do not wait -- If I have a specific time frame (e.g. when I am on a business trip), I contact multiple providers on contingent inquiries basis; if I do not have a specific time frame, it would be whenever.  Either ways, there is no who long I have wait involved.

I do, however, contact certain providers (if I really want to see her) sometimes: I call first, leave a message if necessary; when no response, I send her an e-mail.  I do not give much anxieties though.

That's how the business is done for me.

I came here originally to see if my 3 preferred providers have reviews (they don't--they ask not to be reviewed, period)...now I'm a little bit addicted, anyway.

When I jumped in (HeAd first), I opted for a high-end provider. She asked that she not be reviewed. At the time, I didn't even know what that meant (LOL).

I filled out her intake form and didn't hear anything for almost a month. I didn't follow up or anything, didn't seek another provider, bc I was *smitten* with my original lady. I see massage pros in ATL, so I was (well) taken-care-of, so to speak, in the meantime...

When I finally got a reply from this amazing woman, I found out she had been out of the country with another hobbyist!

She hadn't replied to my inquiry because she simply did not have the time for any back-and-forths while she was with a client (I totally understand this!)

When I finally had the pleasure of being with her, it was totally worth it.

Had something similar happen with another, about a month after my *addiction* began...so I'd say, for the "right" woman, you can wait. If it's too much for you, you should plan further in advance. Of course I'm sure there's some up-and-down, with the level of lady you're dealing with...

One of my friends who only sees "massage" ladies had to wait over a month to see his ATF bc she had a breast reduction.

If you're here and posting, I'd like to assume you're a gentleman and understand that these wonderful women we enjoy so much have lives outside of our hobby.

JMHO

then it's time to move on.  I send the follow up because things can get lost, even in e mails.  But if no reply in the next 24hrs...time to look elsewhere.
If she wasn't home, or sick, or some other problem, it's likely you may get an e mail from her when she does get back, explaining the situation, and will probably ask if you are still interested.
While there are some ladies out there who are really crappy about returning emails, most I've ever dealt with (and ended up seeing) take it quite seriously....if your email sounds like you are genuinely interested!

However, the response by Mr.Virgin has some absolute validity. To you perhaps not, but it is a big, big, wild, wild hobby land out there and not every provider runs a ship like you do. Simple as that.

literbike you are not the only one, i have zero interest in those mind-numbing "social networking" sites. moreover, i have never owned a cell phone and never will..in my mind cell phones for ordinary folk (i.e. not medical doctors, firemen, etc.) are for emergency use and the relaying of quick necessary information only. and because i do not drive and do not go any place alone, i see no need for one. it is my own personal rebellion against the cell phone companies and our modern 24/7 plugged in age. *raises fist* lol

This is the internet. "Once and for all" does not exist on the internet...

Hey gals.  This is a business.  Full time or part time, it's a business.  Any successful business depends on repeat customers and referrals from customers.  So treat your customers with a modicum of courtesy.  (Many companies have a line item asset on their balance sheets, "Good Will".

Does your voice mail begin with "Your call is important to us"?  Probably.  So do the same with your emails.  It's so easy to hit the reply button, and even if it's to say, "I'm working on checking your references and it's taking a bit of time" the customer will know you care about him.  An answer that "I can't answer right now" is still an answer and keeps the customer happy.
