If ever a book explains our own human behavior and helps us understand the hobby in depth, it is "The Myth of Monogamy: Fidelity & Infidelity in Animals & People," by Barash & Lipton.
Now in paperback it goes for about $15 and is available everywhere, including Borders, B&N, Amazon.com, Powells.com. Published by Owl Books of HenryHolt.com.

This book should be made available to every intelligent boy and girl over the age of ten. It would lead to much greater understandng between the sexes.

Especially, the book helps men understand the strong urge to escape from slavery and the WifeExperience.

Speaking of WE, more and more W's are hiring computer geekettes to look into Hubby's laptop for evidence of extracurricular BBJs:
"Hey Zelda, I think I found one over here, something about boinking with someone named Tiffany69." "Zelda what do these abbreviations mean: FYBO, BBJTEOW, DATY, WE with pink curlers." Hmm.

And I will not make light of them, no matter how few there may be.

"The Complete Kama Sutra" by Alain Danielou.  The Times Literary Statement quotes, "it is one of his masterpieces.  It is all enchantment, a world of refined sensation totally without humbug."

The world's oldest and most widely read guide to the pleasures and techniques of sex, the Kama Sutra was compiled in the 4th century A.D. by a religous scholar named Vatsyayana, who worked from texts dating back to the 4th century B.C.

Realistic and pragmatic in its approach, the Kama Sutra deals without ambiguity or hipocracy with all aspects of sexual life - including Marraige, Adultry, Prostitution, Group Sex, Sadomasochism, Male/Female homosexuality, and Transvetism.

The book is a paperback, cost roughly $ 20.  The only drawback of the book is that it has no illustrations - it's all text.

I was looking on Amazon.com and Powells.com the other day and noticed that Powells had over 150 hits for Kama Sutra, some that were illustrated editions.

Now that would be a book to write, an illustrated version with pics of the many hot vixens of the Internet posing in the various positions.

Of course a modernist could add many to illustrate the WE - Wife Experience - with wives sleeping during daty or surfing the Internet during doggie. LOL

I hope you are well today BlueThrills and have not been ravished by too many San Fran demon vixens of late. LOL

There is a freeware version of the Kama Sutra available for the Palm Pilot, called, as one might expect, the Palma Sutra. Shows drawings of a couple dozen positions, with notes about what makes that position good and different from the others. It also allows you to add your own notes.

My notes are a lot like this: 'Gave this one a whirl with Sunny at Happy Spa...Only try with a really bendy girl.'

It actually makes a good conversation peice with non-pro young ladies you are flirting with. Invariably, girls I am chatting up will pick up my palm pilot and start playing with it. I'll show them the Palma Sutra, and can usually gauge my chances based on their reaction to it.

Now, this may be a stretch ... but if you really want to impress them, and get them in a mood ... fly them to the real thing -- The Khajurahoo Caves, India.

All of the positions described in the Kama Sutra have been illustrated in the caves.  All carved out of a monolithic rock structure...

Those caves reek of sensuality.  I have been there, and had a beautiful Swedish vixen ... I'll let your imagination fill you on what happened next ;-).

You were partially correct, Rocky. Yes, you were with a Swedish Vixen but the cave you were in was hers. Yes, the cave reeked of sensuality, but only because the 2nd Infantry was in there just before you...

There is a BIG difference between reeking of SENSUALITY, and smelling of SEXUAL ACTIVITY ...

Need I say more ;-)!

The first book was brought to my attention by beckisharp. I also highly recommend it. It is "The Evolution of Desire: Strategies of Human Mating", by David M. Buss, Basic Books, 1994, $16.00 in paperback.

The second book is "Why Is Sex Fun? The Evolution of Human Sexuality", by Jared Diamond, Basic Books, 1997, $13.00 in paperback.
