IMO, just another reason to not get all of the visible tats.  Never did understand that anyway.  A couple small, discreet tats is one thing--like a cute little surprise when you undress her.  There used to be an agency in DC that photoshopped the heck out of their ladies.  Then when they show up they look like the painted lady in the circus.

So with all the hoopla over fake pics and old pics, how is major photoshopping any different? If a gal has serious stretch marks, tats or cellulite and she paints herself to be flawless, would that also be false advertising even if SHE is the one in the photos? Would it bother you guys to show up and see such a HUGE misrepresentation even if the photos are recent and of the girl, or would you rather a chick who at least had the common sense to post pics of a body that was 95 percent accurate? I don't see how photoshopping scars, acne, and stretch marks are any different from using fake pics or taking off weight by photoshopping.


Would you at least expect her to put some kind of statement on her site, saying what you see is not really what you get and photos are touched up? I realize as women and women in this industry, we all want to highlight our best features and hide our flaws, but would that not just lead to bad reviews eventually when our flaws are mocked? Guys can be brutal, so I may as well just come out and say "Hey, I am not all that" lol.

I agree with you London, for the most part.  I do however feel that photoshopping is sometimes needed to protect ones identity.  To blurr out a face is fine for some, but some other ladies may have scars and tattoos that would clearly make them recognizable  by family, friends and LE.  So at times there is a valid reason for using photoshopping.

No one has skin like a porcellain doll, so when I see that I know I'm going to find some stretch marks, freckles or what have you.

FWIW, it don't matter to me.

It simply gives you that smooth, flawless, even tone you are talking about. I always use self tanner when I take photos, but I also use it on a regular basis and usually the day before I have an appt. so he gets the same skin tone displayed on my website.

Another pet peeve...if you've got tats and Photoshop them, at least tell me in advance.  I don't have a problem with ink, but it's nice to know what to expect and have the option of saying no thanks if I'm not in the mood for body art.

It's marketing, blatant misrepresentation is a whole other story. If hobbyists are being honest all the ink, photoshop, stretch marks, etc.  should be mentioned in the reviews. Of course it doesn't always happen, but there are enough hobbyists who tell it like it is, so eventual the misrepresentation is mentioned.

   I believe you make some good points in your post. I don't know what the answer is except to say I'm grateful for places like TER that allow me to try and figure out what's behind the smoke & mirrors of many providers websites.
   I sort of agree that photoshopping photos is akin to fake pictures though I believe it's more a matter of degree than an exact apples to apples comparison. With experience and a modicum of intelligence I think most men learn to recognize "glamour" shots for what they are. So no, I would not expect a woman to put a disclaimer saying the photos were touched up. Would a good marketing ploy be perhaps to point out, if it's the case, that her photos are NOT photoshopped? A pet peeve of mine is when a woman has lots of photos on her site but when one clicks to see them, they only enlarge to postage stamp size...grrr.
   It indeed bothers me on those occasions when I've arrived to find "a HUGE misrepresentation even if the photos are recent and of the girl". Fortunately, by doing my research beforehand, that's been rare for me. I did have one occasion where I saw a provider in my pre-TER days who had been highly recommended other places but turned out to be a fiasco. Her website had photos which showed her to be my exact type and OMG I thought she was flawless. I arrived to find the pictures had to be a decade old, a decade in which she had been rode hard and put away wet so to speak, and I could barely get through my time with her I was so pissed off. Near the end I broached the subject and she got very defensive saying that professional photography was expensive......yada yada yada. My response was and remains that that cost is a business expense and can't be that large a percentage of earnings if done say every 18 months. The provider can also opt for recent non-professional photos which aren't difficult to come by. I was not very kind in my review of her on my local non-TER board when I reviewed her and I received many thanks from other members who had planned on seeing her during her visit. I believe many women take advantage of a couple of things.....One, that many men do not , or rarely, repeat with a provider. Secondly, a touring provider has often seen most of her clients for a trip before the word gets around that her photos are a huge misrepresentation. This attitude will eventually catch up with the woman and her business suffer for it, at least I hope so.
   I have also experienced the model where a woman is no where near as attractive as her photos suggest but she blows me away with such a positive and attentive attitude that it becomes much easier to forgive the lack of accuracy in her photos. For me personally, a face I find attractive is very important, so unless I can either see a good face shot or at least one that gives me a good idea I'll usually pass.
   So again, I'll not claim to have the answer London. Everyone is different and some guys have that "it's all warm & wet in the dark" attitude and will f**k anything. I'm currently in an ongoing argument on  a local TER board with some gents who have been bitching about high priced providers. But as you point out, all woman wish to highlight their best features and hide the flaws. That's just human nature and again my best answer is to do your research as best one can.

It is an invitation for bad reviews ect, if a provider's pics are inaccurate, privacy issues notwithstanding.
If you are 35 and advertise that you are 25 and use old or retouched photos, the guy doesn't need to see your driver's license to be sure you have mislead him regarding your age. You may look great for 35, but make no mistake, you still have the features of a 35 year old, no one will be fooled in person. The guy would have every reason to complain in a review, and the provider will have earned that bad review.
Why not say it and show it like it is.

Well put GaGambler! It drives me nuts, especially the fact that so many guys are silent about this. Why? Are they trying to curry favor with a woman they plan on seeing again? When I see pictures of someone with perfectly flawless skin I expect for that not to be real when I show up. I also expect the girl to be a shade or two lighter than the tan in her pro pics also. As far as body goes, I expect her to be very close to the pictures. I only go after those that don't seem too heavy in their pictures. If there's any sign of them looking overweight in their pro pictures, I know I could end up seeing an out of shape version of the girl so I won't bother.

What really kills me is the age difference. I hate it when a lady advertises her self as being 26 but shes really somewhere in her 40s. If you say you're 26 and your pictures are when you were 26 I don't want to walk in and see a much older woman. I hate that. 35 year olds who look 25. That is a matter of opinion I am afraid, because a girl could very well be the age she says and because of her lifestyle, she looks older. So, you actually would have to see her DL to really prove she is older. As for "features of a 35 year old," huh? More seriously...there is no clear-cut answer.  It really depends on what that "one thing" is.

Let's say I'm in the mood for a busty girl, and the girl who I see is not nearly as busty as her pics make her out to be (maybe she is using a push-up or Wonderbra or whatever).  I'm expecting a D cup, and I'm looking at big B cups.  To me, that may be a dealbreaker on one day, and fine in another day.  It also depends on my mood, and the rate she charged, the amount of drama involved in screened, getting an appointment, etc.

I wish I had a clear-cut, one-size-fits-all answer, but I don't.

I have no problem with anyone on this board.  Arguments on the board are left on the board, and I could give two shits about them after I get off the board.  They are fun topics of discussion, but that's where I leave them.  To get worked up over a board post because someone on the other side doesn't agree with you is insane and lame.

Having said that, I think it's comical at times that we jump from having a discussion on one issue, and then concluding that a person fits into some definition of what we think he/she should be.  I've been guilty of that on several occasions, and as I get older and spend more time on things, I realize that everyone is different, and that differing opinions are just that--differing opinions.  I try not to look at one person's postings and let that pigeonhole them into whatever convenient definition I may have of that person or personality.

And that's kinda where I draw the line.  SS and I don't agree on much, but I respect her opinions, and clearly she is intelligent and articulate.  Sometimes when she goes one way, I don't follow her opinion, but the logic is clearly there.

On THIS topic, I don't find that it's important to be totally black or white.  There is inevitably gonna be some misreprentation by nearly everyone who participates in this hobby, whether you are a provider or a client.  If you want to talk about being honest from the beginning, let's start with our names.  Nearly all of us use aliases or fake names.  I don't always give my real name when I introduce myself to a provider.  She might get my real name for screening, but in the initial introduction, the email address might come back to some nondescript name that clearly isn't mine.  London Rayne and Saturnsky aren't real names, but instead "stage names."  And that's fine.

Point is, we all shade the truth in many ways.  Providers overstate their cup size, and understate age and weight.  Clients overstate their abilities to pleasure a woman.  

I just find the whole extreme black/white thing humorous, because we are all hypocrites when we start from that place.  Instead of being self-righteous about a clearly illegal activity where we have to fly under aliases and stage names, why not just state your opinion, discuss it with others, and then not get bent about it?

And in my business, that's what we call "making markets."  If everyone had the same viewpoint on a stock, we'd all be buying and selling the same way, and there would be no trading and no need for markets, right?

Not every guy who enjoys the company of a paid escort and who enjoys her company as well as the sexual acts thinks that it's "love."  But sometimes there are connections that are made above and beyond the pure business/transaction end of it.  Maybe that hasn't been your reality, but I've had relationships with about three or four providers over the 20+ years I've been doing this.  Some of them are still doing this and were still doing it when we were in a relationship, and some have retired.

It's just too broad of a brush to paint with.  Now...are there guys on here who are probably not ideal clients because they can't separate a transaction from real life?  Oh, yeah!  You hear about this all the time from other providers.  I'm pretty wired into the NY scene, and I know many of the providers here, so I hear the stories.

But that doesn't mean that you everything is reduced down to a transaction where the woman acts/fakes and then gets you off, and then is on to the next client.  Sometimes there is some mutual attraction, and that doesn't take the form of "falling in love."  Sometimes you just have a good connection, end up as friends, and then get certain other fringe benefits (added OTC time, a reduced rate, and, yes, sometimes you even get freebies).

I enjoy reading your posts, as well.  Maybe you just have dealt with too many so-called manginas to realize that there is a small subset of guys like me who can transact and see providers, get some special treatment and develop friendships while still paying for it, and not get all entangled in some emotional stuff and misreading things for they are not.

I realize I am probably in the very small minority, and certainly I don't want to say that my experiences are typical, but not every single guy who doesn't fit into the black/white categorization of "hooker" or "sugar baby" or "girlfriend" or whatever is a mangina.

The lady who opened the door definitely had the body in the pics, but she was AT LEAST 35 and I didn't find her face to be attractive at all. I walked away. However, to be honest, if I had thought she was hot I would have overlooked the age part because it's just not that important to me by itself. To each their own though.

All bets are off at the point, I don't OWE the provider anything, as she has attempted to deceive me. I will give her a fair look though, and like you, depending on my mood at the moment. I may or may not go through with the appointment, depending on whether the woman that actually opens the door is a woman that appeals to me.

This is a far cry from booking with a woman who plainly says she is 45 and then whining that she doesn't look like a 20 year old hardbody.

Taken in total, the pictures should show what she looks like naked.  They need not be explicit.  I can see blurring the face...  legit security.  If she has tats, if she feels she needs to, she should blur them but not photoshop them out.  I don't care for tat's, my preference, my right.  To hide them is a major deception.
Now I know one lady who has 3 I think but they are not obivious & not something which draws focus in.  Others have conspicious tatoos & clients should have a right to choose.   There are clients for big boobs, and small ones, short & tall, probably those who like tats & those who do not.
