We all know that seeing a a new provider with no reviews is TOFTT. You're stepping into the unknown when it comes to services and quality.

 
Did you think that seeing a gal whose reviews are 4 or more years old is also a form of TOFTT? A lot can change over time, especially when it comes to menu and attitude.  

 
Hell, even the Ladies demand recent references from us, or other verification because "a lot can change over time".

 
Do you feel like most visits are turning into TOFTT moments?

I'm finding that there are lots of relatively high profile providers on social media who don't even have profiles on TER.  That will change as more providers start getting reviews and the rest recognize the need to have reviews if they want to attract clients.

I've only taken one for the team once over the last year and it ended up being a great decision.  I saw India Banks in Westchester and wrote her first review.  I was going to see Selene Kitt. She doesn't have any individual reviews but does have a duo review from a session she did with Bre Jolie (who is awesome, by the way).  Unfortunately, I got all the way past references, setting a time, etc, and she stood firm on her need for a deposit.  I don't pay deposits, so the meeting didn't happen.  But I'm pretty certain I would have been happy taking one for the team in that circumstance.

But in general I'm reticent to take that kind of a chance.  It's really been hit or miss when someone doesn't post reviews.  Even if it's the girl in the pictures, there's such a HUGE difference between a mechanical session and one where you experience enthusiasm and genuine enjoyment.

Some Providers that used to be BBBJ CIM now are BBBJ NO CIM or even CBJ NO CIM. Some have updated their Profiles to show that but others have not. In most cases, they have NOT lowered their fee to reflect the decrease in service level. Good luck.

and not are TER have been delisted or else don't want to be here.  Many providers have a no-review policy and TER does not allow them here.  

Agree with CDL here. It’s not going to change.

some ladies and gents have taken a break from this business.
So for both references/reviews will be out of date.
Also in some cities this site is not used so perhaps old reviews here but more current ones on another site
I have came across quite a few gents who don't have recent references or very old 3+yrs okays on P411.
For the ladies and gents it depends on comfort level with seeing someone who may have old references or a provider who hasn't been reviewed in awhile.

but do they have discussion boards with cranky old dudes talking a ton of trash, and inevitably proclaiming how much the girls want to date them off the clock?
