I just lined up a couples tryst while away with OSP. He is afraid that his age will be a factor of him enjoying our date. He is 49. Would the gentlemen here older than him please reassure him that 49 is not too old. Our date meets his and my physical expectations.This will be both of ours first couples date. I for one am excited. Then we will settle down to normality.

I'm over 50.  But, I always believe that I'm only as old as I feel... and when I'm feeling a hot 18-year old chick, I definitely feel young again.

I don't believe that it is his age that he is concerned about. He is probably afraid how you'd react to seeing intimate with someone else other than you.

you guys are not inviting me to the wedding. BUT the date also conflicts with a date for an encounter with someone "surprisingly good for me". So I'm not as annoyed as I might be.

He is definitely NOT too old.  

If he is worried about physical performance (and you should be able to answer that), then try the blue pill, or get a herbal equivalent from the vitamin store (the clerk will know).

Performance ANXIETY might be an issue, the key is for him to relax - you will be there so that should take care of that.

If worried about the provider's reaction, don't.  She will have seen much older clients, many in much poorer physical shape.

Get him to relax and just go with the flow - dump his expectations at the door - and let whatever happens, happen.

49 is nowhere close to being too old.

My husband is 49 - and he's not too old.

Remember that if the first time is less than perfect, you can always try again, after he knows better what to expect from himself.

MAYBE try the second time with a different provider in order to break the link to a past imperfect experience.
