Is there a doctor in the house?angry_smile

Last week, after an extremely energetic sexual encounter, I've noticed that my erections started becoming slightly painful. After inspecting my penis, just below head on the underside, there is some redness and soreness, almost certainly from intense friction.  Everything we did was covered, and I am not worried about an STD.

The thing that really scares me though, is on the left side of my penis just below the head, there seems to be a thick vein that I can feel when I'm flaccid, but becomes much harder and thicker when I'm erect. It actually protrudes from the skin past the circumference of the glans, and is mildly painful to the touch. It runs parallel to the edge of the bottom of the glans, and only appears to cover about a third of the way around my penis. Is this dangerous, and should I see a urologist regarding this? I'm very worried... someone reassure me!!!  I've never noticed this vein there before!

...I don't even play one in singles bars.

When you're suddenly concerned about STD's, due to some recent experience, you become very paranoid.  You notice things for the first time that may have always been there, or attach more importance to things you may have noticed in the past but didn't associate with anything.

Maybe it's nothing.  Maybe you injured yourself.  Maybe you've got a rare form of flesh-eating Herpes.  Don't waste your time getting non-advice from us non-physicians.  See a real doctor.  Soon.

I Hate to tell you this; Your gonna DIE.
Your only hope is to have as many sexual encounters as you can by June 30th. Also seek the counsel of a medical doctor since you will want to continue having lots of sex in July, August, September anon anon anon.

Sounds like in all the energetic play you might have strained and possibly sprained your penis. Doubt it is anything more than annoying and painful. Best idea is to just get your doctor to look at it and if he thinks it is more serious he will refer you to a urologist. Unless you have unusual swelling or bleeding, most medical problems are seldom life threatening.

Not a doctor and don't want to play one on tv.

If the vein is hard, tender to touch, and warm, it may be thrombosed (thrombophlebitis) in which case you should see a urologist.

If you are my age and have my libido, you may want to visit your local urologist to make sure that you don't have the beginnings of Peyronie’s disease - a condition that has been described as "...a disease of aging tissue in a patient with a youthful libido." [1][2]

This is a condition that seems to occur more frequently in mature men who "...engage in more frequent intercourse, more vigorous intercourse, and often use positions of intercourse that are potentially traumatic to the penis...."[1]

For most men who develop this condition, it is not serious and resolves spontaneously.  Nevertheless, a small number of men will have continued problems with this condition that might require treatment.  You probably wouldn't want your "driver" to develop a "hook" or a "slice" - that could interfere with your "short" game!

I have a forty-nine-year-old body and an eighty-year-old dick, that would go limp before it's time because I use it too much.  Hasn't happened yet, but who knows, Peyronie may be taking aim.

I hate it when she's right.  Big know-it-all.

your penis when you were with the provider; unless, of course, you want a man to pump you up by hand.

why would you post a message on an escort review board to diagnose a possible medical condition?

have you had repeated injections into your penis, urinary catheter for >30 days, or a history of blood clots? no? then it's probably NOT thrombophlebitis (jesus christ).

are you worried about hiv or hepatitis? they usually manifest as flu-like symptoms shortly after exposure and then NOTHING for YEARS, UNTIL you get SICK. they do not make the veins in your penis swell up.

gonorrhea? it's a bacterial infection. might make the tip of your penis red, and make it burn when you pee.

if you have a vein sticking out on your penis, ask your doctor what's going on. you are probably not going to die and it's probably not a venereal disease. it's probably related to friction.... leave it alone for a day or two :-)

You should visit the doctor, it is most likely nothing as this condition does occur more often than you imagine.  Sometimes you can break a blood vessel, which will heal over time

However it should be checked out, have you noticed blood in your urine or ejaculate?

Sounds like your penis needs quiet, no stimulation, no erections & bed rest-ALONE! fore (pun!)a few weeks.
