It was suggested that I post this question here rather than in the newbie area, so here it is:

Maybe I am naive or something, but if you're in your 50s or 60s, and you get a provider in her 20s, isn't that like doing it with someone your daughter's age or younger?  I'm curious, because I've never been attracted to women much younger than me, and if she were half my age, then I would feel kinda wierd.  I suppose it's hard to imagine since I am 30 and a girl half my age would be 15.....  But lets say I'm 50 and the provider is 25.... Then I would feel like treating her like my daughter.  Then my dick would go soft, and then I would lose interest.  

My wife has an interesting explanation on why older guys prefer young women: "...a person's preference never changes.  If you liked french fries when you were young, you'd still like it 30 years later.  Same thing here.... men like girls in their 20s no matter what age they are themselves."  

I suppose I'll always like young, fit, gorgeous women also.  But let's say I see a provider who is 18.  I am 12 years older than her.  This means that when I was in High school, she was 2.  When I became a legal adult, she was just starting elementary school.  You see where I'm getting at?  This is just 12 years apart!!!  I think my dick would go soft knowing that when I was banging my girlfriend in college, this provider was just learning her ABCs.

I'm starting this thread because of my plans to resume this hobby again 18 years later after my daughter grows up. I worry that I would be limited to only the mature providers. I also worry that I won't enjoy sex as much by then.

If a certain age makes you uncomfortable just adjust it to your
comfort level - that's what TER can help you research.

Also, age differences matter less the older you get just because
people in general tend to change less as they get older.  The
difference between and 40 and 50 year old is probably much less
that the difference between a 10 and 20 year old.

As an older gent well into my 50's, I have no desire to be with a young nubile lady, however not for the reason's that you have mentioned. I will take experience over youth any day of the week. The older ladies have forgotten more than most of the younger one's can remember.

I know quite a few guys who do like the young ones, and they have there various reasons, but I for one never have dated a women younger than me. My deceased wife was 8 years my senior when we married.

Different strokes for different folks, maybe you'll feel different about it 18 years from now.

I'm fifty.  When I began seeing Tiffany, she was 25, and I had no trouble whatsoever.  When our business relationship became personal, we really explored something long-term. Strangely enough, it wasn't the age difference that made us abandon the idea; it was her desire for a family -- a desire I don't share.  But the sex was great, and I had no problem waking up next to a beautiful young woman.  Frankly, she helped keep me young.

Now, though, with Tiffany living downstairs, and my girlfriend spending most of her time in my home, an interesting realtionship has developed:  My girlfriend and I have slipped into the roll of Tiffany's mother and father.  In fact, even though the three of often joke about it, we've really become very supportive and protective.

I'm just a few years older than you and I get the same feeling(s) when I come across an ad for an 18-20 year old provider.  I do the exact same math logic in my head......when she was in diapers I was looking at colleges, etc..

But I'd guess that you a little differently when you reach your golden years and a girl half your age might be mid to late twenties and (theoritically!) capable of making adult decisions.  It seems less cradle robbing esque when the other person is an adult than when they are just an 18 year old kid.

I was 66 last week , I am devorced and with two exceptions out of the scores of women I have been with in the last 7 years all have been under 30 , most under 25 . I have 4 daughters and I never think about the fact that some of the providers I have been with are younger than ALL of them . I don't think its normal to think about my childrun when I'm with a young sexy thing . Good luck and have fun

When she was your age, you were half her age!

When she was in high school, you were 2 years old!  (sound familiar?)

Reid you ever stop to consider ...

I've wondered before what the average age of the hobbyists posting here is? Most of the providers that advertise seem to be in their 20's to mid-30's.

Anybody know if TER has done a poll to see what age range most of us fall in? My guess is that most of us hobbyists are in our late-30's through 50's. One reason I say that is that, speaking for myself, I really couldn't afford to indulge until I got older. Plus, I think my involvement is actually part of my "mid-life adjustment." (at least that what I tell my sex addiction group!)

When you get old enough to be the father of the provider you are with, be prepared for her to think of you as a father figure.

Then, if you are a genuinely nice guy who she feels safe with, she may experience huge O's.  This is not necessarily an unhealthy thing.  But be sensitive to what is going on, and be respectful and kind.

I am not trying to be sarcastic but I sincerely believe you need counseling or a therapist immediately.  To speculate on what your hobbying life will be like in 18 years is absurd.  You should focus more on having your child grow up in a safe, sane and peaceful world.

I too am "an more mature gentleman".
My personel preference is for the ages of 30 and up.

I have never thought about "doing someone my daughters age", because to me, there is more to it than just the sex.
it is the whole experience.
I find that I am not interested in the younger ladies just because i want to be able to converse, relate, and connect with the lady I'm with on a more personal level.

Any lady who can converse with me in a mature intelligent manner is who I'm interested in, it doesn't matter the age.

I can think of nothing finer than enjoying a young girl, even at my advanced age & temperment.

kaius8,  I have seen and will see next week a lady who is a quarter of a century younger than I.  In a previous discussion with her she revealed she was born in a California hospital that I was doing research at that time.  So it very likely, I was at the hospital the moment she was born! I have no problem with this and you should not when and if you resume this hobby.

I was seriously involved, for about 18 months, with a lady who was 13 years younger than me.  Not once did I have any problems with getting it up when called upon.  Not once did she have any problems while we were getting worked up and sweaty.

It depends on your mindset I guess.

She also acted much older than she was.  I've seen women who were the reverse - and I don't doubt in that case I might have had a problem with them.
