1. if you were really wealthy, would you be doing this or hanging around in St. Tropez and Aspen and gettin' it for free? 2. if you're money's green and you're reasonably well behaved, you're going to score anyway--presuming a legit provider. 3. if a provider is not legit, or is on the fence, do you really want to invite blackmail, robbery or worse?
Conciously or subconciously, do you show that you are financially capable of sustaining the hobby with her? Just a thought about the Ego-play inside a hobbyist's mind.
I'm with you 'Snowblind'. In the cold, cutthroat mercenary civvi world these ladies would never look at yours truly because there would be no accumulated wealth to plunder.
People who have real money, especially those who come from money, usually don't talk much about it. People who are impressed by those who boast about their wealth usually don't come from a background of having money or status, either. It's usually easy to distinguish the have's from the posers and social climbers.
Those who have money, brains, talent or beauty don't have to brag about it. The people who do boast usually aren't all that they claim to be.
Of course, comments might be made in certain circumstances. If a guy is enamoured with a girl who doesn't seem to appreciate how much he can do for her, he might well find a way to let her know how able he is.
Don't have to reveal or hint wealth. The women who are interested know the clues to look for. Money talks even if you say nothing. Once caught an escort looking through my mail which included investment statement. She actually had the nerve to call me a few days later and say, "why don't you see me next week, you can afford it?."
Right now I have a very good job and can do this pretty much as I please. A year ago I was counting the weeks to my last unemployment check. A year from now, maybe the same. Through it all I'm the same me.
I'd rather flaunt it that, in my late 50s, I'm still pretty well ripped and can still compete in half marathons. Ego play? Sure, but I'm prouder of what I am than of what I have.
Five years, 10 years, 15 years from now that'll be gone too. I think it's called life.
