those were the days....

One of the TV stations had "Pretty Woman" on this afternoon.  I have only been at this hobby for a little over a year and I am not sure what year this movie came out.  In this cinderella story, Julia Roberts was charging $100 for the hour and quoted Richard Gere a whopping $300 to spend the whole night!  Wish I could find such a fine provider charging those low rates.
Was this truly representative of the fees back in those days (however long ago this was)?  I know that it's all relative to the cost of living, etc., back then but if I could go back in time and make the same money I'm making now....

"Casablanca" with Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman.  I know this has nothing to do with the hobby but, I just love those lines:  "Of all the gin joint's in all the towns in the world, she has to come into mine!"  And, "here's looking at you kid."

As I recall, they settled on $3000 for six nights.

She: $4,000

He: $2,000

She: $3,000

He: Done!

Later on...

She: I would have accepted two.

He: I would have paid four.

Speaking of movies - Joel Goodson spent $300 for a night with Lana Scharf and that was 1983. Now thats a movie worth watching.
