I pulled this thread from Senator Elizabeth Warren's (D-MA) Senate site.  Apparently, she and Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) have introduced legislation in the Senate to compel US banking and financial institutions into the war against human trafficking.

As the bill is written now, it defines trafficking as being under force, fraud, or coercion, just as the original SESTA was written.  However, as we know, they threw that out, and broadened that to include voluntary activity in the final bill that was signed into law a few weeks ago.    Thus, all of the problems we are now having.

This proposed bill is a long way from passing, but I view it as a fait accompli.  If this thing gets passed, the stipulations of trafficking being only under conditions of force, fraud, or coercion will likely be broadened to include voluntary SW and participation as well.  As I see it, it makes for example making a deposit into a providers bank account for a future appointment a federal offense.  Same with paying cancellation fees, paying by CC for appointments, and for payment for hobbying fees such as ads on Eros, and membership for various websites such as here.  It is not unreasonable to think that language could, and will, be inserted that criminalize banks and financial institutions for "facilitating"  if they approve payment for account holders for hobby related activities.

Just anther reason why this hobby has to be cash only, at point of.

Cryptocurrencies for those who spend in four figures, I suppose.  I'm happy in my 300 roses tier and have no problem handling cash in amounts I need.

Let's hope so, FM.  14 out of 15 hasn't been done by us since '98.

Eventually we'll be a cashless society. All forms of payment electronic.

If they don't know what you're doing, they will not bother you.

This is exactly the kind of shit you get whenever Democrats and Republicans "work" together.

Bipartisanship is two wolves and a sheep deciding what to have for dinner, which is why I prefer divided government and gridlock; very little legislation gets passed.

And Little Marco and Pocacuntas can go fuck themselves with a rusty rake.  Showboating assholes.

Lmao!!! Funny as hell but true.

Technically it was brought up by me two days ago, and it didn't get much traction.

I just remember a couple of providers posting that they had already had their accounts closed because they used their credit card to pay for an ad on an escort site, by Schwab, Chase and Capital One, I believe.

I hadn't seen anything referring to this proposed law until a few days ago.  Maybe it was posted a while ago, but I never saw it, and it has never come in conversation with any hobbyists or providers that I know.    Is there a problem with bringing this up again, presuming it has been mentioned and discussed before?  Periodic reminders seem to be a good idea, no?

Agreed.  Reminding people of the dangerous time that we live in is important, and it's better to err on the side of caution.  If something is only mentioned once (or twice) there's a possibility it may be missed by precisely the people who need to know.
