For US cities, now that there are xonviently no โ€œUS residentsโ€ able to use TER because of Blocked IPS. For erotic stories... what do others think? Speak TER

The site is effectively washing it's hands of anything U.S. related. As this wears on you could see members who reside in the U.S. have their accounts removed. Depending on how much of the user base were U.S. , it could spell the end of the site. I don't dare presume that Americans are majority here. Just that if revenue drops below an acceptable level.... bye, bye TER.

I doubt TER would remove accounts based on location, since they would have no knowledge of subscriber location.

Not per say, but reviews all based somewhere within U.S. territories would be a good indicator. How about providers? They could easily go through and remove all U.S. based reviews. When I say easily, I simply mean providers main city is listed in their profile. Obviously, sorting through and removal would require hundreds of hours. Which once again would make shuttering of the site the better fiscal option.

Sidenote:
Or by removing U.S. based providers....render the site useless to U.S. members for the most part.

In fact, I would not be surprised to see the local USA boards disappear sometime soon.  Consider... who would post there besides residents of those areas?  Also, when reviews get posted for providers residing in the USA, is it reasonable that all of the reviewers live outside the USA?  I think not.

TER is going to do everything they can to make sure the the money keeps flowing.

Agreed, but if it comes down to indictments.... they'll scratch us off like a flea on a dog's ass.
Just saying....theyre not going to push against this law. The fact that US IP's have been blocked is clear evidence of that.

It's kind of hard to maintain high principles when you see someone pull out the funnel and start to melt the lead.

We are just going to have to cowboy up and face this head on.

Here's a little tune from yore to help get in the right mind-set:

Oh No Sir, Mr. Fisher,
TER is doing what it has to do to protect themselves. I fully understand that. This is not something they would choose to do. But no one could possibly expect them to put themselves in jeopardy in the face of all this. It is what it is, and I don't have a crystal ball to predict what the future holds. Just roll with the punches, and hope for a positive outcome.

Not sure why you think this.  I come here for reviews, to allow me to make informed selections.  By blocking US members, and expecting users to figure out the VPN workaround, I expect reviews to dwindle.  If they do, then many will stop paying for VIP.   When the revenue dies, the site dies.  This looks like the owners giving up, and I think this site is on the way to irrelevant.

its very likely that they will not accept payment from someone with a billing address in the states.

That would be a nice thing to do.

posting an ad is the last thing I care about. For me it's knowing what's going on in my community, staying safe and being able to communicate via the boards with like minded people. Perhaps after all the major dust settles with BackPage things will calm down. Right now TER is here and some members may never figure out how to get back on unless they have a VPN in use already. The reviews will stay and hopefully new ones will follow. Some were posted on the new review list this morning.
